Just watched the highlights.

Ingimarsson might as well not have been there for most of the first half by the looks of the highlights. Cisse no where in sight for for most of the attacks shown. Isn't he the defensive midfielder? Useless against pacey passing attacks.

Inspired keeping by Camp. Howard's penalty looked poor, but not a good angle.

I can't believe Kebe scored a header!!!? Superb ball from Karacan to put him through for the penalty though. Shorey should have let him go, he'd have just missed.

The consolation is we were beaten by a team in absolutely fantastic form, yet could still have got something but for an inspired keeper. More of the second half and we'll start picking up points.

Much more cheerful now.

Hope Ivar is dropped for Cisse / Pearce soon.

Good to see a manager that can turn a team round and get them doing the right things at the break. Unlike Rodgers. If he was still in charge that would have been 6 or 7-0

Agreed that the above statement was revisionist nonsense, Mags, but in all fairness there was an equally ludicrous assertion on another thread the other day that 'if we hadn't sacked Rodgers we'd be comfortable by now'. So it does work both ways.

Whilst I would agree that a lot of the Rodgers knocking is both pointless and OTT, some of it is unavoidable. If you're going to try and assess McDermott's performance then who else can you compare him with?

On t subject of RFC fans being punts: There was an old bloke sat 2 rows behind me at the Donny game who unleashed a stream of foul abuse and saliva every time a Reading player, or the lino, got within earshot. On about 80 minutes he stood up, looked around and shouted “I know you all want me to oxf*rd shut up, don't you? oxf*rd.” and walked out. After he'd gone everyone around me said he was like that every game and, if he carried on, somebody really ought to complain. I couldn't really decide who was worse.

Having not been to the game and only the commentary on BBCRB to inform me, I was interested to read the views of some Forest fans who reckoned that they were lucky to come away with a win from the game. They seem to think if we play like we did in the first half we're going to get relegated, but if we play like we did in the second we'll be in the top ten. I hadn't realised there was that much difference and coming from the opposition it gives me hope for the future.

So my question is, why did McDermot wait until half-time to make changes?

They also reckoned Mills was awful, but that might just be sour grapes.

Personally, I would say Mills was very strong at the back for us. He had a pretty good game.

Were they both Thor? I knew I didn't recognise him! Bloody good efforts. Could have been slightly wider of the keeper if I'm being picky, but you can't fault the keeper.

Fair enough, I can only judge by the highlights on the BBC.

On BBCRB Mick Gooding was convinced that Camp was off his line for the penalty and that it should have been retaken. Can you confirm this? It's not clear on the highlights.
