Smoking Kills Dancing Doe There's a lot more to the Hunt story.

He was badly advised by people he thought were on his side.

No surprises if that's true. We all already know his agent lied to him and was stiring shit. We also all know he's really stupid so fell for it easily.

He never stopped trying for us whilst on the pitch. Still ran around like a mad thing whenever he came on, he just wasn't playing well. Whether that wa down to his mind being distracted no-one can say but to criticise the effort he put in whilst in the team is daft.

Maybe he just burns himself out in the 1st half of the season.

What the hell is a 'grapefeeder'?

its interesting to see you have moved from whos the grapefeeder to whats a grapefeeder - for one minute there I thought you knew what it was and was just questioning who it was...obviously gave you a bit too much credit[/quote]

Congratulations. You've won the internet.

SHunt sell-on clause....??

by Rax » 01 Feb 2010 19:39

With everyone's favourite pikey being bid up pre window to £5m :o - does anyone know whether Reading got a sell on clause put in when we sold him to Hull?

Irrelevent now until the summer but worth knowing nonetheless....

He owes us.

Has done well for Hull which just shows he couldn't be arsed last season and it is people like him which cost us promotion.

Interesting snippet of an interview with him on Sky a bit earlier where you could tell he looked gutted not to be grabbing the rope out of Hull. Mentioned something about how he has kept quiet (this transfer window) and got on with it as he has let transfer "rubbish" affect him in the past. Yeah, thanks Stephen we noticed.

"I gather the clubs have been talking a bit. In the past I've got involved in transfers and mucked my head up but I've pretty much said nothing this time, got my head down and let my football do the talking."

Said the little shit while musing about how he let down the club that put him where he is today.

SHunt is nothing special but I can assure everyone he wants away now and if Hull go down lets see if he keeps his head down then.
He is nothing more than a poor mans Mick Gooding.

At first I thought £5 million for Shunt

But then, in an interview, Mick McCarthy was basically rueing the fact that no-one would come to Wolves even when they offered way over the odds for them

From a less sour grapes point of view, I think Hunt would be an asset to any struggling Prem team. If he's up for he, he has a phenomenal work rate.

DOYLERSAROYALER According to SSN Wolves have made a final £5m bid for Hunt - just wondering if the grapefeeder tore himself away from having his nose up the chairmans arse, to have considered a sell-on clause????...doubt it...we were so desperate for the money, Hull probably knew that - so I expect we've been turned over there - cant see Grapefeeder's negotiation skills being that sharp :D

Who the hell is 'the grapefeeder'?

One who feeds grapes. Duh!

It wasn't just his agent. The manager of a certain north London club didn't help either.

Royal Lady
Old Biscuitman Marcus Hahnemann quoted in today's Times, after being beaten by Hunt's penalty: "I knew he would want to take it. A lesser player would have felt the pressure and crumbled....He's one of those players you always want in your team instead of playing against you. We would love to have him at Wolves....Whichever side ends up with Stephen Hunt after 5pm on Monday will have a great chance of survival".
There are more words of high praise. What happened to the Hunt who flopped in his final season with Reading?
He wanted to leave and couldn't be @rsed to play to his potential.

+1
