Arsenal's season is based on the next four weeks, no question about it. They need a striker, if they lose Arshavin they really have no one.

However i do worry about their lack of plan b-OK they were 2-1 down last night and won, an inferior team will buckle to that quality of football.

At the emirates against Chelsea they couldn't do that and they had no one to come on and change the way they played. Song is growing into his role as a break-up play midfielder. They need a target man up front as well- they are not far off but they need to spend some of the money

Going back to the original question, whilst Arsenal are undoubtedly masters of "pure" football, they have a weakness when a physical team gets in their face and stops them playing.

That's one of the delights of football - it's like rock-paper-scissors, where every positive style means a weakness against another team's style.

yeah, they've looked very ineffective against a physical and determined Stoke side.

Arsenal won't win the league until Wenger realises his teams need a plan B.

Some of the side today were 3rd team players let alone reserves-no surprise to see them lose at a mid-table Prem club putting out their full first team.

Thing with Arsenal is they are "ALWAYS" the team of the future.....Wenger says he has about £30m to spend on players, well he's only got 5 hours left if he wants to actually challenge for silverware this season or will he be happy with a champions league place and build for next season (again). They need a striker and a central defender as priority!

They're obviously one of the best teams in the league still, but a little bit of the flat track bully about them.

Put them in a pressure situation (ie closing in on the top of league and not just playing catch up) or against one of the top teams and they just haven't quite got enough about them.

i say this again. Arsenal are flat track bullies. Come up against anyone their equal and they struggle. They've lost 6 games this year, 2 against Man Utd, 2 aganist Chelsea, one against Man City and Sunderland

RR,
Have you got any other footage of the hundreds of English and foreign divers?
Bendtner actually got booked for diving last night so why not show him?
Also out of the England squad that might be picked for the World Cup how about:-
Lampard
J Cole
Rooney
Beckham
A Cole
That's 5 others who have done as much as or possibly even more than Steven Gerrard
and if you throw in players from the recent past in Scholes and Owen it becomes clear that nearly all attacking players for England in recent times have done more than their fair share of diving so why single out our best player(according to those wise sports writers around Europe)?
