The Cap Yeah that was the goal of all goals. Stood in the Tilehurst End. Bovril everywhere. The man was pure genius. However, as with a lot of mercurial talents, his life style was allegedly reckless at times - to say the least.

Agreed. He was a genius and stood out in a pretty crap level of football. Lived fast and died even faster, but, as a Reading fan, it was fantastic to witness while it lasted.

Would he have been as good today? Fu ck off. Of course not; and he could not have possibly lived with or given a fu ck about the discipline required. Most definitely a man of his time.

But with a little protection from referees - and today's laws about tackling from behind - he'd not have the occasion to lose his temper on the pitch so much.

The photo of Sonko heading the ball at Southampton in the pouring rain just sums up THAT season for me.

5 seconds after that was taken, I'd travelled 10 yards forward on the Southbank. Happy days.

I was on holiday in Florida for both the Leicester A game and the H game versus Derby. So, although I loved the fact that we went up to The Premiership I almost have more affection for the leap in to Div 1 with the mercurial Curo scoring that terrific goal. I love the pic where he's lobbed the ball and Ingi is struggling to keep the ball out.....A magical moment and such a relief after 33 draws or whatever it was prior to the Brentford A game.

Someone will indulge me with the picture I'm sure.

Great pictures - interesting season ticket included cup games!

Also interesting Palios was playing for them - isn't that the same guy who was at the FA with Sven?
