In which case it's difficult to see anything but an adjournment for Pompey too.

Or....it's not quite so straight forward and hence adjourned for a few hours.

Although I think you're right and it will come to that.

Pompey haven't helped themselves today by being represented by the Israeli Lawyer who was convicted of fraud in Israel a few Years ago, and who is not allowed by the Premier League to be a Director of PFC!!

Odd bloke to have representing you in a case where you could got out of business!!!

It would be tough shite if they were liquidated.

Has anyone heard the story about Sol being on the 8th best paid player in Europe at the peak of his Pompey contract?

Complete mess and if they don't placate the HM Customs and Revenue, they'll have to start again.

That would probably be because of all the bonus payments for being successful, which they were, and coupled with him being a free transfer and so his contract including the 'transfer fee' that wasn't going to a club.

Still a daft situation though!

Portsmouth want 28 day extension as they have "2 serious offers on the table which will write off their debt"

Pompey claiming that they have 2 serious offers to buy the club which would clear the debt; High Court want either a winding up today OR a very short adjournment, maybe only a couple of hours.

Not looking good for Pompey here.

HMRC reporting that Pompie owe £11.5M, rather than the £7M previously reported

cardiff owe around £2M and southend £210 000 which may explain why customer are happy to let them have another 28 days
