CMRoyal I'm not convinced by Karacan, not convinced at all. And Cisse seems out of favour so I see no reason why we shouldn't put Zurab in midfield.

Tails Mills and Killi would be my ideal pairing - if we work on the proviso that we are keeping Mills and Ingi doesn't have many seasons left in him. The amount of skills, knowledge and professionalism Killi has is refreshing, from the way he takes the time to chest a ball down and spread it wide to the little nudges that give him an extra yard of space against forwards - would love to see him rub off on Mills and Pearce (who are ultimately our future pairing, no?)

papereyes Cisse is incredibly mediocre
I would imagine Karacan is shattered

If you like him so much, why do you insult him by putting "shit" twice in his name?
It's Khizanishvili!

BR2 I think it shows how far we have fallen that two run-of-the-mill Premiership Reserve defenders can come in and have such an impact.
How stupid was Rodgers in thinking that Cummings and Pearce were good enough to be regular starters?
These two have shown a calmness that has been missing with Cummings,Church,Jem,Kebe and regrettably to some extent Ivar this season and they just get on and control the ball and pass to a team-mate rather than treating the ball like a hot potato.
The Georgian last night, apart from the one occasion when he let the ball bounce in the second half and gave their man a chance, was very steady indeed and Griffin has tended to pick the right options and has been an improvement on all the others that have played right-back.
Ivar on the other hand looks more panicky as time goes by and not only does he dither but also tries to play killer balls rather than pass the ball on to those that can pass.
It really does look like a season too far with him and I disagree with the earlier poster (although like him I much prefer a left/right combo for central defenders)who suggested that Ivar looks comfortable playing left of centre-IMHO he now looks uncomfortable wherever he is playing and I feel that the Georgian/Mills pairing is the preferred option for the rest of the league season.
