Big Foot

Superb, I'd love to get a picture of that put on canvas to hang above my bed 8)

I think the angle of the picture shows his gesture is aimed towards the East Stand

about Y22.............

Angle of the picture is misleading - it was aimed at Y25/26 I'm sure

Yeah, good on you Jimmy - that was your 4th or 5th goal in 70-odd appearances in 2 years and you give it the big'un, come back and do that when you aren't flattering to deceive . Exceptionally cool finish, but then we saw progressively less of him over the next 63 minutes and 50 seconds as usual until he was substituted. That said, Kebe should be an absolute shoo-in for a place in our XVIII these days, although that is just as much to do with the huge decline in playing standards since he first joined us than any vast improvement he has made.

Flattering to deceive eh? What about McAnuff?

Starts 52-01 Sub 19-02 Goals 6 Assists 13 Kebe
Starts 21-04 Sub 00-00 Goals 1 Assists 07 McAnuff

So McAnuff scores 1 goal in 25 games, Kebe gets 6 goals in 54 (20) = "57.3 games"

1 goal every 25.00 games McAnuff
1 goal every 09.33 games Kebe

So Kebe scores at virtually three times the rate of McAnuff and Mac is being touted as POTS.

Your point is well made.

strap See you're still counting balls bouncing off Kebe's shoulder as he looks the other way and scuffed daisy-cutter "crosses" to no-one as "assists" snowball!

Kebe is a joke - full stop.

With his contract up at the end of this season, we shall see the truth to Mr Mad's cloth cutting. There is absolutely no way this charlatan is going to get his contract renewed, as by any cost benefit analysis you choose, he is a waste of money.

Did you sit there cussing on Saturday after 9 seconds or whatever it was, when everyone else was going bonkers...................

Thought not!

Allyh84 Where are you getting the assists stats from? I love stuff like this :D

The club website. OFFICIAL stats.

Go to "Match" and Club Statistics.

57.30 Games 6 goals 13 assists KEBE
25.00 Games 1 goals 07 assists McAnuff

Double Mac's stats to get a near comparison

57.30 Games 6 goals 13 assists KEBE
50.00 Games 2 goals 14 assists McAnuff

Making McAnuff a slightly better "assister" (would be 16 assists for 57 games) but not by that much.

But Kebe's goal-scoring slaughters McAnuff's

Gotta take the rough with the smoothe with kebe. Was very good saturday, but what impressed me was he was defending and getting back well also. Im happy with his celebration as it shows some fight and personality, something we haven't really seen in him since at the club. Hopefully BMD can keep him like that.

I did have a little chuckle at the couple next to me on Saturday, they must have come in about 5 minutes late with their pint of coke and pie and immediately began slating Kebe for no reason whatsoever...told them that he had played pretty well for the first couple of minutes and they were clueless as to what had happened

I love the fact that people are just starting to realise how effective Kebe is after spending the last few years slating him for no reason

thought Mcd'd interview hinted at to what he thought of kebe last night, said we're only now seeing the real kebe. he certainly seems to have his confidence back under Brian (as do a lot of the squad). i think last night was by far jimmys best game (not a high bench mark i know!) and long may it continue!!

Kebe's goal last night moves him to almost 5 times the goal-scoring rate of McAnuff ("PotS")

Mac takes 4.54 more minutes than Kebe to score a goal.

Columns are

Starts.. Sub Appearances. "Played" (counting starts as 90 mins, sub appearances as 15 minutes)

then goals, then Every = how many games to score a goal (Shane is 2.47, highly respectable)

Assists do not include last night's assists

Last column is minutes per goal

ST sub Pla'd .. Goals Every ........... Assists Season .... Mins per goal
11 08 12.33 ... 05 ... 02.47 Games 02 ..... 09-10 .... 0222 Long
22 04 22.67 ... 09 ... 02.52 Games 06 ..... 09-10 .... 0227 Gylfi
05 07 06.17 ... 02 ... 03.08 Games 01 ..... 09-10 .... 0278 Noel
21 05 21.83 ... 07 ... 03.12 Games 00 ..... 09-10 .... 0281 Church
18 09 19.50 ... 06 ... 03.25 Games 01 ..... 09-10 .... 0293 Rasiak
15 13 17.17 ... 03 ... 05.72 Games 02 ..... 09-10 .... 0515 Kebe
16 06 17.00 ... 02 ... 08.50 Games 02 ..... 09-10 .... 0765 Howard
16 03 16.50 ... 01 ... 16.50 Games 00 ..... 09-10 .... 1485 Cisse
26 00 26.00 ... 01 ... 26.00 Games 07 ..... 09-10 .... 2340 Jobi

...and another good assist for Jobi last night. Why try to split opinion about them when they are both producing? It's not like they are in competition for one place.

More to the point is what do we do with Sig now he's fit? Put him in place of Howard?

....and what a performance last night. I am not going to get all revisionist and instantly forget all the meek performances of the last two years, but Kebe ran Palace ragged last night; he was effective and direct, created chances and openings for himself and was an absolute pleasure to watch. BMc bringing Kebe over to the travelling support last night to take the applause in an almost bashful and apologetic way was an endearing moment.

Kebe is exactly the same as he always was. Loads of talent, not a lot of brain. He had great games last year, he had great games under Rodgers, he'll continue to have great games here and there. He will also continue to make stupid decision after stupid decision and frustrate a hell of a lot more than he successfully creates.

Worth having at the club, but not worth relying on as a guaranteed first teamer.

Its what annoys me most about him. He clearly has the pace to boss most Championship full backs but never seems to unleash it.

I'm not splitting. I am making the most obvious comparison, more important
because for many McAnuff has been player of the season

Macs' shooting is dross and he gave away a dire goal at WBA
but "that's OK" because he does other good things

I raise the issue because too many fans refuse to give credit where it is due

But when one winger scores nearly five times as often as the other
that is well-worth pointing out. if MAC was the one getting the goals
we'd never hear the last of it.

Kebe is a very good winger and scores at quite a high rate for a winger

So why when you're comparing someone because they're being hailed as potential player of the season (based on form up until recently when he's gone a little off the boil) are you including statistics for Kebe from last season and the Premier League?

They have no relevence to performance this season and who should be PotS. Kebe got virtually all of his assists last year and just under half of his goals. Try a comparison of this season to this season. That might be a relevant.
