I still cannot see why any businessman in his right mind would buy Portsmouth.
I doubt the Russian and Hong Kong owners will forgo the whole £30M and £17M respectively so anyone buying the club will have to pay them off at least in part. They will then have to pay a reputed 11M to the IR, 1.7M to Sol Campbell and money to who knows how many others - probably 50M or so at least - even if they pay a £1 for the club.
So next season they have a debt of 50M - a huge wage bill by Championship standards and only a parachute payment.
Basically you are gambling that eitehr they DON'T get relegated or if they do that they go straight back up.
That sounds like a massive and stupid gamble and if anyone had that sort of money to spend they would be better to buy an "established" Championship club.
My guess is that some way of keeping them going till the end if the season will be found and then they will fold.
