27th November 1993. 3-0 v Bournemouth. Quinn's second was a first time lob over the keeper from miles out. Mick Gooding scored the other.

I love this picture. Quinny just doing his usual business and leaving a trail of devastation in his wake.

Good work Ark, particularly on the Arsenal game (I was at the Bouremouth game and remember the goal). I don't really have a clue about RFC pre c.1992 (the Simod Cup side apart) - it's strange reading people reminiscing about a load of players I couldn't pick out of a police line-up eg. Jerry Williams - couldn't even tell you what position he played.

Never actually been tempted to read about Reading's history either - they're other people's times and other people's memories; I'm happy to leave them as that.

I echo everything Floyd. Everytime I view this picture, I am always drawn to that fan in the seats, arms up triumphant. Roger Titford gave me this photo many years ago along with the one of Trevor Senior scoring against the Arse.

I was behind that goal when Senior scored against the Arse - remember it like it was yesterday. What game is the Quinn photo from?

For me ~the~ iconic RFC shot is either of the two showing Friday's goal against Tranmere.

One that is missing from this collection is Kevin Bremner's almost horizontal diving header away at Newport when we set the wins from the start of the season record.....

Am sure someone will stick it up.

Lets not turn this thread into a debate about Madejski. Great pic of curo and saw him playing for shrewsbury the other night, has barely changed. I miss those days a lot, part of growing up and also the affiliation we had with the players were happy times, even if in division two.

Agreed. It was good to feel some of that affiliation again on Wednesday night. I'd rather be supporting a group of honest players working hard together in League 1 than a bunch of premiership prima donnas desperate to leave what they see as a sinking ship (I'm looking at you Shorey, Kitson )
