Maguire
RoyalBlue Another reason why we shouldn't have sold Bikey!

It's not like we have a team of hard men (or even any) nowadays. Mills? Griffin?

Although Bikey would obviously have windmilled the fcuk out of any of them, i'm sure a few of them must be fairly handy. They are super-fit professional athletes after all.

Jimmy's prolly the hardest I would've thought.

He'd probably sneak round the back of the ruckus, line up a perfect chance to shank the ringleader, then drop the knife through his sandles and chop off a toe!

So it looks set to rumble on further then...

Also, like the way they have handed over the ITV coverage and not the CCTV coverage...something to hide maybe!!!

Much as I love Brian Howard's "candid" style

I can't help feeling all this hoo-hah is going to backfire on us badly :?

Ummm, won't the CCTV actually be focussed on the stands rather than what's happening on the pitch?!?

That depends which way the cameras are facing!!!

They will probably have more than one camera, and with a flashpoint like the one the other night I'm sure the control room would've focused one or two on the events on the pitch.

Do you have to ask so many stupid questions?

It may show what happened out by the coaches.

There have been many references to stewarding on Hob Nob this season. A casual observer would think that our support is belligerent, troublesome and noisy. If only.

The Real Sandhurst Royal
'They were incredibly aggressive and got totally carried away. They obviously get bullied at home by their wives. The power of wearing one of those bright orange jackets totally went to their heads.

Classic quote from Howard!!

He's summed up all stewards and most coppers there. Good work.

Baggies fan in peace here

From what I saw Mulumbu kicked the ball, it hit McAnuff, whether deliberate or not only Mulumbu can say. To me if kicking it he should have booted it in the air. McAnuff reacted they had a pushing match and MAnuff lashed out. A steward ran on the pitch to seperate them and got surrounded by your players and someone from your bench who ran their faster then Usain Bolt would have done and they started having a go at him. Other stewards came on to try to get the steward away and were subjected to pushing and shoving from your players. Someone tried to get to the linesman (I think McAnuff, not 100% sure) and a steward got in between him and was again surrounded by your players.

Perhaps the steward should have just stood there and let McAnuff carry on and get a longer ban ?

It seemed to calm down and your players went to your fans to celebrate. From the Youtube clip posted it looks like a couple of jobsworths stopped them, that is pathetic to be fair but some of your players and officials need to look at themselves over the whole incident and hold their hands up and admit they were in the wrong. For what happened outside it seems a couple of your players came out to the coach mouthing off at stewards who are always there guarding the coach after games and it got a bit verbal.

The stewards in the main did a good job despite heavy provocation. One or two may have got a bit heated as people do. Interesting someone has mentioned the black steward  well known to many of us, a Sunday League referee who is the same on a Sunday morning. That bloke is a 100% knobhead.

WBA have the full Prozone system meaning there are 8 cameras covering every section of the pitch. Not the best quality, would make intersting viewing I am sure.

Just to add Albion have offered to provide all the CCTV coverage if asked, so they are not hiding or covering anything up.

We all know WBA won't release the footage as it clearly links them to the Kennedy Assanination....

Right up until there I thought you made quite a decent argument for otherside of the story.

I think both sides probably over-reacted to very little actually happening. It sounds like McAnuff was a bit of a tit in getting himself a red card and certainly sounds like the aftermath was both sides getting carried away in the heat of the moment after a very emotional game.

Well being told to fcuk off is the nicest thing to read isn't it especially when trying to give a balanced view on what happened.
