W&E Royal I've got a good one, Reading 4-1 Swindon 02/10/1976. Old Division Three.

I was actually born on the third though.

my God I remember that season too well. I was already 15 ffs.

We went more or less top with that result.

And ended up relegated.

No game on the day of my birth, but the nearest game is May 5th when we beat Doncaster 2-0 at the end of 85/86.

However In my first season as a fan I did have a game on my birthday and it got announced on the tannoy :D as we beat Charlton 2-1 on the final day of 94/95

I thought by your sensible posts that you were a lot older, say 35ish. Wise head on young shoulders!

Fubar According to Soccerbase, when I was born, Reading FC was on holiday cos' of WW2! Bummer...

likewise..........
But my most memorable birthday game was Brentford 1 - Reading 1 2001/2002 Div 1.

Double cause for celebration......

Three days after I 'arrived' we lost 3-4 @ Accrington Stanley :? - finished 6th in the 'old' Third Division.

Eldest two have late July birthdays - Youngest's in November '02 - nearest game I could find was H win 1-0 vs Watford - Kevin Watson scored.

Being a June birthday there was no game for me. However, I was born in 1988. We were relegated that year......and they year I turned 10......and the year I turned 20........Another reason not to look forward to my 30th.

2 days after my birth

English Division 3 (old) Rotherham 1-1 Reading 03-05-1980

Last game of the season which after only winning 1 of the last 9 saw us finishing 6th

Need time to go backwards now getting too close to my 30th for my liking!

There actually was a match on the day I was born.

We lost it, 1-0, to Coventry.

1 - 0 win over Southport, 18.1.69.

Son was born day after our 4 - 0 defeat at home to Arsenal.

It is amazing how I can recall the details of many games mentioned – England v Ireland, watched it in Union bar, Poly of Central London, Port Vale away 78/79 crowned Div 4 champs that very day – yet can never remember where I've put my keys.
