Strangely the game had a similar feel to the 96 CCC QF where we went 1-0 up at Elland Road and lost out 2-1.

But at least this wasn't as bad as the way 'Boro cheated us out in 98, Craig Hignett wasn't it

Surely by the first goal the team should have told themselves to "WAKE UP!", if not by the second goal. But by the third?! No excuse. I'm deaply disapointed by the way the second half went, however a valient effort in the first half it must be said. Jimmy Kebe, what a player! Tremendous for Reading consistantly this season, Shane Long as well - 2010 has been a great year for him so far, another two onto his goal tally today. Stating the obvious, but it's deeply sadening for Reading to loose a two goal advantage in the space of 10 minutes. The one positive: we've got the league to focus on now. It truely is a game of two halves.

So very typically Reading isn't it. Lead in a big game and totally choke. As soon as the first Villa goal was scored everyone in the whole ground knew that we were going to lose.
