Hartlepool away in the early 80's ( Ithink) a turgid 0-0 draw.

East End Lady Watford 0 - 0 Reading - first season in premiership just before xmas - ball spent more time in the air than on the ground! Only highlight was some banter with Chris Kamara over who he'd peed off at sky to have to cover this match

Certainly my vote of recent times.
Just pips Coventry away last season which was best described as soul-less

0-0 Home vs Preston wasn't the best last season.

I also recall the stunning 0 - 0 draw versus Chesterfield. I seem to remember there were no on target shots in the whole game. The half-time kids penalty shoot out which was occassionally entertaining ended in similar fare to the main event.

Walsall and QPR are too obvious. Been some real drab games vs Watford, especially away.

I recall a 0-0 away at wigan where i almost fell asleep.

Wasn't that on the TV? I went to that Festival and seem to remember getting back and falling asleep on the sofa during the game :D

Dirk Gently Walsall, FA Cup away and replay at home.

End of thread!

'greed. The replay was pure hell. Even the penalty shootout was woeful.

A few ridiculously boring matches have seen over the years, but the one that really stands out for me is Reading 0-0 Barnsley from Nov 95. No goalmouth action to speak of, one of the coldest matches I have been at, and just general all-round crud.

For personal boredom I was immensely bored at Stamford Bridge in January 08 and the Emirates in April 08.

I remember getting beat 1-0 at Elm Park by Portsmouth in 1998, the year we got relegated from the second tier. As I recall, neither side had a shot on goal, so I don't know how Portsmouth won.

Carl Asaba actually had a shot on target this game. Received the ball on the edge of the area, a quite brilliant spin that took two players out of the game, and then a passback to Alan Knight. I remember it quite vividly as it summed Asaba up for me. It was also the day before my granddad died.

Sounds like your own fault. Dressing up as old women wouldn't exactly inspire the team. Why didn't you dress up as strippers, or something?

Actually, I remember that now! Trouble with Asaba was that I felt he did these spins by rote and not in relation to the opposition's movement, so they only had a lucky dip chance of coming off.

Maybe some of the dullest games I saw were during the Bentley era, when we wore pale blue. The dullness was epitomised by players like Paul Bence. Later sides may have been less efficient than that one, but there was usually some comedy value to enjoy.

0-0. Away to Leyton Orient c 1985. I cannot remember anything of any worth about that game.

97 at Elm park we drew 0-0 with Bradford. Worst game I can remember that leaves a memory of being truly shite, although nobody has mentioned the opening game of this season!
