Why the oxf*rd would anyone be losing faith with the McDermott regime? This has been one of our best runs for bloody ages. And we are top of the form leagues. Not too much to moan about, unless you're still hanging out the back end of Brendan Rodgers.

No way were there that many...... I wish RFC would give honest figures

As Dellor should know if he paid attention to anything other than cricket, they've announced the attendance figures as "total tickets sold" rather than "total people through the gates on the night" for every match since August 2006.

They changed to that because the PL made them - it's a PL regulation to announce attendances that way, in order to help bolster the fiction that the PL is "the best league in the world" - and they never changed back once relegated.

Should have been 3 or 4 before 20 mins, they were poor. it was a penalty, and a red card. Shocker penalty but Savage did ok in goal for the second half.

Kebe took the goal well, but is too inconsistent to win all the fans. Poor game from Griffin(Suprising), Mills (Bikey school of passing), Howard (Headless), Gylfi(trying too hard), Kebe, and Rasiak.

Bertie and Long had good games, esp. Bertie MoM for me.

Good result mind.

Bring on the brizzol.

i don't understand how that helps make it sound like they've sold more tickets, surely if people paid on the door that would add to the attendance?

It still amazes me that people watch football who clearly haven't got a clue what they are seeing in front of their eyes!

For anyone to say that kebe was poor or disappointing is frankly unbelievable; his first action was within the first minute and, despite having 3 players around him, was able to put over a perfect cross to find a free Sigi who headed over when he should have at least hit the target; from then on, for pretty well the rest of the game he was giving their left back a total reeming. I guess scoring 1 and getting assists on 2 others IS disappointing............

Excellent result, but left feeling oddly short-changed; 6 or 7 would have been a more realistic score for having had 17 attempts on goal. That having been said, we have played better this season and lost, and lets be honest, during that horrendous run last Year we would having given our Grannies away to have seen 9 league goals in 2 consecutive home games!

What a load of rubbish...Not sure why the crowd was low but that reasoning is bull as is the comment about should have been more.....Yes it could have been but think back a bit and what we would have given for eleven goals in three home games. Some people are never satisfied..ridiculous

Kebe was stunningly good first half, almost a ten.

As well as his goal and assist he put in at least four brilliant crosses that should have been tap-ins.

He was MoM for me, closely followed by Tabb

I've rarely, if ever, been so annoyed after a comfortable win. How the fcuk were we under pressure for the first 10/15 minutes 2nd half? Utter shambles. Gifted Derby two excellent opportunities to equalise.

Once Derby ran out of steam it was easy street and boring as hell. GD looking pretty healthy now but 10 men and no keeper? Should've been looking for 8-1

First half I thoroughly enjoyed, flukey goal by derby with their first shot on goal and we deserved to be 2-1 up at the break. Sending off killed the game and it was horrible to watch. We came out second half appallingly and thought we could play with no tempo and score at will, very complacent and very poor attitude from our players. When the opposition are down to 10 men with a midfielder in goal you want to put them under severe pressure and keep the tempo up - the opposition have one less man and will tire a lot quicker. Quite why we were pottering around and hoofing the ball forward every now and then I don't know. Howard was horrendous and has to be a candidate to be dropped after a couple of bad games now, can't believe Ivar started when Zurab has proven he's a class above also. I really hope BMD isn't going to get into the coppell habit of playing long term players out of loyalty as ivar is not in there on merit at the moment. He once again made the easy things look hard by misplacing comfortable headers and slicing passes all over the shop. Woeful against villa as has been said the other day as well.

Who was at fault for their goal, didn't see it.

Happy with the 4-1 win, sets us up nicely but if it comes down to goal diff at the end of the season we'll wonder why our players were so half arsed against a team on the ropes. Kind of wish derby never had a man sent off. Not a great performance by any means but 4-1 on paper is solid.

Fed 6 - didn't do a lot wrong
Bertrand 6 - decent finish, steady all round
Griffin 5- Poorest game for us so far
Mills 5 - passing was pretty wayward and didn't inspire the defence as much as recent games
Ivar 4- does the basics wrong consistently, the crowd hold their breath every time the ball goes near him. Why is he even playing when we have ZK?
Kebe 8- very dangerous again, looking like a solid winger
Tabb 8 - midfield dynamo, gets about the pitch, creates and defends, played well
Howard 4 - useless, looked lost out there and nearly cost us with a woeful dummy in the middle of the park. What sort of role was he even supposed to be playing?
Sig - 5 - below par, few iffy passes, shooting way off and well below par in general. The new love child so even when he plays poorly he still gets credit on BBCRB.
Rasiak -7 Did well, contributed some good link up play and looked dangerous
Long 8 - Great goal, good touch and pace, really looking a good striker at the moment. Deserves a lot of credit.

FiNeRaIn Who was at fault for their goal, didn't see it.

This guy, per all accounts that have reached my notice (including this from the match thread):
Mills 5 - passing was pretty wayward and didn't inspire the defence as much as recent games

Although the PA wrote it up thus...
Clough's side had failed to show any invention but drew level with their first attack in the 21st minute. Stephen Pearson and Rob Hulse worked a smart one-two on the left side of the area and when Pearson was halted by a challenge, on-loan Arsenal teenager Sunu poked the loose ball past Adam Federici from the edge of the area.

If you read some of the comments in here you'd think we'd lost not won. Give the team some credit especially after playing a difficult game on Sunday the performance was excellent, yes we lost the plot for the first 15 minutes of the second half but also give Derby credit as they were obviously told attack was the best form of defense to protect Savage from a hammering. 18 points from a possible 21 and we're beginning to look like we can stay up this season, I wasnt so sure when Brian was appointed but he seems to be getting the best out of the players. Long looks fit and like he wants to play, Kebe is without doubt a revelation and fully deserved the player of the month. I'm enjoying coming to the games again and all credit to the team for getting their act together.

Excellent 1st half performance with Kebe on fire.

The first two goals were as good as you will with another missed that would have been identical to the 2nd scored against Villa. We played with pace and should have been out of site 4-1 or 5-1 up at half time..

Derby dropped so deep in the 2nd half with 10 men with the players not knowing what to do to break them down the game became a bore.

Excellent save by Savage from Sigurdsson's free kick.

Great 3 points bring on the Bristol City.

You always get a percentage of Season Ticket Holders who don't turn up at any match. What they do now is give the attendance as that of STHs number plus everyone who buys a ticket for that match - whether they turn up or not. That number will always be a bigger number than the number of people who physically walk through the gate on the day of the match.

Don't forget, paying on the day is still buying a ticket - you just use it immediately.

Steady on there. But agreed. The aftermath from the cup run and the reality of back to business (thankfully as usual) produced an exciting first half with a few (what the hell is going on) moments. Why did Derby play Bywater with a back injury. The sending off when Tabb was bought down and the subsequent sky rocket of a pen by Shane. Savage was solid in goal and apparently put in as he was effectively out of the game anyway. We played some cute short sharp pasing play which was a joy to behold. Shanes goal was pure genius play with such a sweet assist from Kebe. I really thought the chance was blown but for Shane to get past two players and calmly slot that ball home was possibly the best build up play i've seen this season.

The second half goal rout did not take place but Derby looked pretty solid in mopping us up and taking the play to us. I thought it would be sods law for them to get an equaliser and when (again) a low incisive pass was put in across the box and somehow missed two Derby players on the far side.
Two goals in the second half made up for the fact that at times the team looked like they were running out of ideas in how to break Derby down. The groans of anticipation from those around me was fairly audible.

A pre match conversation about Bertrand clearly worked wonders.

A solid result which is now slowly clawing us away from the drop zone and keeping the teams confidence levels high. Happy with that and i am now liking the feeling of walking away from the matches with a smile on my face again.

Good assessment - agree totally. Thought the second half was actually very, very tense until we scored the third, as I was really worried that they'd equalise and then we'd really be up against it. I thought the players looked a bit panicked after the penalty miss - pretty much thinking the same thing, i.e. "We can't blow this opportunity". But after the first 15 minutes we settled down and I thought played it just right - calm and professional - and eventually we got the third and fourth again out of good play and not due to a GK howler.

MoM for me Kebe too - 1 goal, 2 assists and could very easily have been 2 goals, 5 assists.

'agreed, RW but maybe it wasn't nerves from the players, McD could have told them to keep it tight for the first 10-15 minutes of the second half after their abject surrender on Sunday.

With 6 league wins in 7 I was being facetious about the McDermott bit, but there were around 5,500 home supporters missing from Sunday, and whilst I wouldn't dream of telling people how to spend their money I somehow suspect that they would very easily have found the cash to go to Wembley. Oh well :| .
