Dirk Gently
Man Friday Anybody have access to BR's statements DURING the season (right up until the last couple of games) when he was talking about achieving promotion THIS season?

To prove what?

He's gone, we're better off.

MOVE ON!

I know that you're one of our good guys, and everyone is entitled to make the odd mistake now and again, but......

Have you handed back your copy of the Bumper Book of Tactics that you enthused so wildly about when you met BR?

Snowball In just 12 games McDermott has picked up what took Brendan 20 games

Frankly, this is nothing short of brilliant and if we finish top eight this season Mac should get Manager of the Year

Could have been summed up in 2 far easier to read lines. Which i agree with both.

Life after BRendan is lovely, can listen to the radio pre and post match and know you aren't getting a load of manager speak nonsense, you know you will watch a team play to it's strengths and play with a bit of tempo. That's all you want.

Mcdermott has simplified things, bought/loaned well in areas that needed it, and the players have responded. The resurgence in certain players is incredible.

It's not a bad place to go and watch football now, and it hasn't been that for years.

A little bit unfair to include Mac's first few games as caretaker,

brendywendy a year?

Last year in my opinion was one of the last interesting and inspiring years following Reading. Relegation followed by a season where w epunched above our w8, playing some hopeless 'football' culmin8ing in finishing 4th in a 3 horse race.

The league position says it was decent, the reality was it was pants.

In the interests of fairness I think McDermott might have suffered much the same sort of problems faced by BR when the squad was suddenly sold. There was a clear hangover, and sadly once a slide begins it usually needs a new man to halt it.

BR might be a decent manager - he was here at the wrong time though. We had just lost SC = some sort of slump was likely. We then lost all our 'stars' = more of a slump was likely.

BMc was lucky to come in at a low point [although I DO think he is a class act!]

The last few games have made the season of 6 months ago feel like a very bad dream. The supporters are with BMcD, the players appear to be enjoying playing, the sun is shining and life is good. At the moment!

I've been quietly spreading the word as to how good he is.

It'll be great to see them struggle.
