QPR prediction thread

I don't want to predict. They're looking good under Warnock, but then we're not bad right now either!

A tasty game, whatever the score.

I'd take a draw, but I'm gonna go for a cheeky Reading 2-1.

Exactly how I see it. This will be a tough game but 2-1 home win.......and then the prmotion play-off push becomes a reality...with Cardiff and Blackpool both losing 68 points or even less will be good enough for 6th.
Its all about 6th place.

By all means I don't wanna get ahead of myself (trying to keep my head on the ground) but, say we got 6th place this year, wouldn't it be lovely to dream of winning?

The first time we'd be in a play-off that we essentially scraped into... Every play-off we've been in we've perhaps deserved more than (meaning automatic) which has made us heavy hearted and not as eager as the other teams contending...

But seeing as we'd be more than happy to even be in the competition, do you think we'd have far more a chance? Or is a play-off just a play-off, because IMO, those 5th and 6th places do matter, being 3rd isn't unlucky, but it's 'annoying'.

Again thats how I see it. We scrape into 6th from absolutely nowhere whereas say Forest just miss out having been in the top three all season. We would have nothing to lose and have all the momentum. We are contenders now bizarre as it seems.

Precisely, I hate Reading in the play-offs, we never seem to rise to an important occasion,
but... this could be a bloody hell of a season, and a dream come true.

Calm down - just calm down.

We're only six points above the drop zone.

Let's deal with that demon first.

+1

This is such an awesome season, literally anything can happen. The nice thing is, it's in our hands.

Yes and 5 points off the play-offs if we win our game in hand. The glass can be half-full or half-empty. Your choice.

I think it's natural to be buzzing though and full of hope, excitement and to be thinking about what can be achieved this season, what needs to be understood is that it's in reach, but we're not there yet.

There is nothing wrong with dreaming, and Reading have every chance of getting 6th this year... you only have to look at the table to realise that but I agree with you in regards to keeping a cool head.

Indeed but 6th place is very clearly up for grabs. Any side from 6th down to us/Ipswich that can put a run together between now and the end of the season will grab that place.

This should really be a new thread but let's keep our heads down....a playoff place is possible. Didn't Palace do it a few years back climbing the table to a play-off place in the last few months? It's all about belief and BM and the team (especially the strikers) have belief. Of course a few negative nobbies won't have belief but who cares about them? What we don't need is the media noticing us. In the play-offs momentum is key - holding on desperately at the end seldom works (as we know) while a team with winning momentum generally succeeds. But don't tell anyone....

Mac's mentality is to play it all down, which of course is the right thing to do. But we all know that given our recent form we have a cracking chance to come from nowhere. And if we don't quite make it...the fans will still be chanting the Messiah's name.

I thought it was longer ago than that - the year that they beat us 3 -0 near Christmas when they were in the relegation zone (Dowie's first game?) and then rose up the league to get into the play-offs and then beat Pardews West Ham in the play-offs. Wasn't it the first season SSC was here and said that Pardew told him you never lost 3-0 with 4-5-1 but we managed it 3 games running.
