Only regret is I wasn't in Reading for evening celebrations

I was there what memories last night bought back.

Then drive home and out in town. What a day. What a week with Derby. What a season

For once I got the day of promotion right, I was there with Carla, paid to park the tranny at The Counting House, saw loads of nobbers past and present, Lux was free buying us drinks, including some blonde lady, I alos let Jez in throught the back entrance as they had closed the front as was so full. I took a pic of Mags, said I should have said hi.

Nearly went there, but met RL and Schards outside before deciding to go the AD. Quality weekend.

Was there. When Doyler scoredwas the only time a man has fallen on my head. Was so lucky because this was the season i decided to sack off saturday footy and spend the student loan watching reading.

Went to a house party in Leamington after and it was brilliant. Wish I had been in Reading though

I was in Toronto and received the news via text.
I have seen most of our promotions over the last 30 odd years but missed out on this one.

That evening I cracked open a bottle of bubbly in my replica shirt. Was truly a special time.

The guy who got thrown out gave his name to the Old Bill ans Gary Lineker

As BF says, epic train journey back to St Pancras and round the Circle Line back to Padders. Seem to recall a sterling effort to bounce the train off the tracks at Edgware Road.

I was there. Had played a match in Luton in the morning, and travelled up after. What a day.

Watched it on SSN and was holding back the tears. It was a day I never thought possible.

Think the train back from Paddington was chocker too and the buffet cart was just Reading fans singing Arthur Askey's got no legs, got no legs, got no legs...
