T.R.O.L.I.
royalexile What was he kicked out for Troli. I missed that, other that seeing Handbags get removed just before HT.

Dunno - the stewards, unsuprisingly, wouldn't give any details other than he'd been seen on camera doing something.

What did Handbags get thrown out for?

Not sure about that as i saw him on the steps leading to the concourse, though he did say it was the same problem every time he visited.(something like that).

Did they accuse him of being the Suffolk Strangler again?

The police got a bit annoyed when one guy a few rows in front of me shouted about prostitutes :| same bloke also shouted peado at the goalie a few times, oh then oxf*rd off 15 minutes before the end. Some of our fans are a disgrace... v small majority but still :/

I take it you were sat to the left of our support - in line with the goal line? I heard the bloke shouting "paedo" and found it cringeworthy.

Did like the way that the copper joined in with the banter pre-game though

Indeed I was, a couple of rows from the back.

Very cringeworthy indeed, as was the argument the same bloke was having with an old guy sat just in front of us over Mills

facepalm worthy indeed :D

biscuitman Definitely getting the FSF involved here. Home end was 10 quid in most places for adults.

Ipswich will be trembling in their boots now

As far as I can see the FSF and Trust movements are pretty toothless. The clubs let them have enough scraps to keep them sweet - without ever giving way on important issues.

Some bits just to correct/explain....

Firstly, the £31 for away fans IS excessive, but then it wasn't a tenner for home fans. Not even kids get in to PR for a tenner these days. My ST cost £540 and I'm in the Bobby Robson Upper. I took a mate who bought his ticket near us and paid £34, plus a fiver booking fee. Marcus Evans is making his money back from both sets of fans this season.

Anyone making reference to Suffolk Stranglers or prostitutes being murdered is rightly kicked out of the ground. It'd be the same if you went to Valley Parade and started singing about burnings, or to Anfield and started something about Hillsborough. The victims were picked up right outside the ground and feelings are, naturally, still a bit tender even now.

Our stewards are (mostly) a decent bunch, although home fans complain about being asked to sit down constantly whenever anything vaguely exciting happens. Complaints have been in short supply this season; I wonder why?

Be grateful you're probably not gonna make the play-offs after today. I thought you looked an average to occasionally decent CCC team, but that we looked comfortable, even after you scored. That team, like ours, needs some serious work done to it before you can progress safe in the knowledge that you won't be straight back down again with a handful of points and quite a few wallopings from Premiership 'big guns'. You've proved you can mix it with some of the Prem's teams, the trick now is consistency.

Finally, the Keano chant was much appreciated by the majority of fans in The Bobby Robson. Particularly me, who's had the pleasure of meeting Roy walking his dogs in Kesgrave Park in Ipswich and has seen him carrying a Kleenex as he walks (think he had a cold).

Did you completely miss the fact we played the majority of the game with ten men? and scored with ten men...

Had it not been for a pretty poor decision ( although not as bad as made out) then I very much doubt you'd have taken three points today.

I didn't see the foul clearly because I thought our player (Norris) had won the ball originally, and was staying down because of over-stretching (he's injury prone). So it came as a big surprise that your lad Mills saw red. I haven't watched a replay on telly yet, having just come in from the pub in time to see the League 2 highlights on the BBC. I'd also argue with your assumption that, had Mills still been on the pitch, you'd have won. Neither side were playing particularly great football before it happened. A few of your players also looked a bit jaded, notably Long and a couple at the back. No big surprise seeing as they've had a moderately successful season both in the cup and the league recently.

I wish you all the best for the remainder of the season though, and hope you can still pick up enough points to trouble the p/off contenders.

£540 to watch that shower! And I thought we were paying over the odds. Considering the fans are paying that much and the money spent on players and wages I would be more worried if I was you.

We know this season hasn't gone as intended/hoped, but I'm past worrying. I only had hope that we'd get promotion this season last summer - since then I've sat and watched us start terribly, get slowly better, and then have the odd blip now and then. But to be burdened with hope of a play-off place after a wretched start, and then seemingly lose it...well...that's gotta hurt.

And 'that shower' just did you 2-1, albeit with 10 men

You'd be arguing with yourself then, as I never said we'd have win. I just said I didn't believe you'd have taken 3 points.

Didn't expect that much to be honest, we always seems to have to play at Portman Road with 10 men after having players unfairly sent off so toaday was hardly a surprise - however the club will appeal the decision which means that Mills will be able to play v Coventry on Monday.

Perhaps next season we'll save on the expenses and take one less player up there and also field just 10 to save the ref time and energy waving his card about.

Norfolk Royal Top marks to the lads who came up with the 'Keano, he w*nks his dog you know,' chant, which would have been hilarious in normal circumstances apart from the fact I took my 11-year old daughter to her first away game. Try explaining that one.

TBF, NR, it was a fairly mild set of songs / chants today (other than those aimed and the referee). The one you have alluded to above was always likely to be aired though.

Yes, silly of me to think there wouldn't be any songs about a man masturbating a dog.

Glad to see that free speech is alive and well in Suffolk. Do Leyton Orient still kick people out for singing about Jack the Ripper?

Indeed, ITFC implies by saying that emotions are still raw in Suffolk, which I would dispute anyway, that there may be a point in the future when they are not so raw and songs about the Suffolk Strangler may be permissible.

What was it now, two years ago that those murders happened. So say in five years time, ten years?

You could argue of course that it is never permissible to sing such songs, but that would be unrealistic within the context of a football crowd.

T.R.O.L.I. If we're talking about getting the FSF involved, how about looking at the stewards who threw the young lad behind me out at HT - complete over-reaction considering he'd done no more than the other 200 of us at the back.

And why it took 5 of them to throw him out is beyond me.

Got thrown out at half time for having a fag in the open bit, no warning, two stewards grabbed me from behind marched me to the gate chucked me out. Where i met 5 other Reading fans chucked out for exactly the same thing. Absolutely shocking, spoke to a T.V.P. about it apparently they have a history of it.

Free speech is one of the basic human rights, and that includes the right to offend and to be offended.
