If we win our games in hand, we'd be three points clear of them, so it really wouldn't matter as it'd be in our hands to f*ck up.. not to point chase after them?

I think you two are talking at cross-purposes.

It doesn't matter if boro win so long as we win our game in hand..

vs.

Boro are winning so it doesn't matter whether we win our game in hand or not.

GD is now on 0, Swansea on 2 and Leicester on 6

IF we win our games in hand, we'd be 3 points and a maximum of 4 goals behind Leicester and 4 points with level goals with Swansea

You have to consider Blackpool too though - we would be two points behind them and nowhere near their goal difference. It seems a stretch for three playoff chasing teams to drop several points relative to us over only four games, especially when we have a couple of tricky ties (Newcastle, Cardiff). I think that we should be satisfied with the 8th spot we seem destined for, given the terrible start to the season

Their run in is:

Newcastle A
Forest H
Peterborough A
Bristol City H

Can see them dropping some points somewhere

Christ almighty, bloody useless link man on BBCRB.

All in the space of 10 seconds, "Reading leading Ipswich 3-1", "Sir Alex Bedser, one of the greatest English cricketers of the 21st Century, died today.

Ok, carry on....
