Colin Cheeselog From comeonboro:

"McAnuff - The Scot's campaign has certainly been a tale of two halves, as the forward has scored all eight of his goals since the turn of the year. Hopefully Middlesbrough can test the Irish international’s temper at the Riverside, as he has already been shown a straight red card twice this season."

That really is funny, sounds like they can't decide whether he's Irish or Scottish! And they seem to have confused McAnuff with Shane Long!

On BBC Football: 'Reading skipper Invar Ingimarsson has been ruled out with a hamstring injury and is set to be replaced by on-loan defender Zurab Khizanishvili'.

LOL at Dave Kitson STILL being called Paul after all these years and as a Premier League player too (courtesy of last night's Sky Premier League Preview programme)

From BBC sport:
Reading were rewarded for their resilience in the 86th minute when a Graham Dorrans corner was headed against the post by Jonas Olsson before Tamas drilled in the rebound.

The Reading FC official website can't spell the team's name:
"Gyfli Sigurdsson did score a wonderful consolation in the final minute of normal time, and there were chances for Readig to get back into it throughout an impressive second half display." Readig? Who's that?

According to Times no team before Newcastle had ever been promoted to the Premier League with 6 games to go.

Our 05/06 team may beg to differ.

I'm shocked by Alan Sedunary cos he wrote in the Loosest Link page of yesterday's programme that Ray Ranson, the Coventry chairman, was a member of the Reading squad that won promotion in 1992/3. Wrong season.

Ditto the Mirror.
Inadvertently brings back memories of my personal favourite quote about our record breaking season... Carlton Palmer: "Sheffield United won the league but everyone knows Reading were the better side." Just the 16 points gap, Carlton, just 16...

From BBC Sport:
Reading will be without captain Matt Mills, who begins a four-match ban after an appeal against his sending off against Ipswich was rejected.
Gylfi Sigurdsson is expected to return after being rested for that game.

Pretty sure Gylfi started that game, and finished it. IIRC it was the coventry game he was rested for.
