Oh and McDerm want to keep hold of the loanees on permanent deals. Wouldn't mind Mackail too. If he manages to pull this off then we got every chance of going up. Plus I think the form we shown under McDerm would attracts players.

We tried to get him in on loan in January, i think he is out of contract in the summer as well.

We could do a lot worse, think he is quite quick and has a good eye for goal, and looks like Jimmy Bullard

would be a good signing imo. especially if its on a free.

then we just need to somehow keep all the loan players and we will be sorted for a promotion push next season

He'd make a great back up striker/winger.

Not sure if he is out of contract,Posh were demanding a pretty hefty loan fee in Jan for someone out of contract in the summer. But you never know with Barry Fry....

any fee would have been a transfer fee but just as loan fee, much like the fee we received for Harper

Or because they were going down and needed someone to score to give them any chance?

Oh and IMO would be a great signing, Plus when Hunt comes back, secure the loans and keep everyone else and we'll be good.

As has been mooted before get rid of Long and Rasiak and get Mackail-Smith and Beckford in and mix match between them, Church and Hunt

As for our loan signings, obviously Heston would love them on permanent deals but I reckon there's b*gger all chance of getting them especially Bertrand.

What I meant was that considering he was out of contract, which the article says he was, the fee demanded was extortionate.

Shirley its just a Ferguson "mind game thingy" adopted by our manager in lieu of tomorrows game.

Taken from my 606 post...
Asked the chaps on the peterborough 606 about CMS and this is what they had to say...

"He has a couple of years left to run I believe. It's a bit of a balls up on behalf of your local press. Small nippy striker whose work-rate is for me matched by no one I've seen in recent years. However, he's not the best finisher and can very well take 1 out of 3 chances successfully at a time. Has some massive problems with one on ones also apparent. Great player if you've got someone who bangs them in alongside him."

Doesnt exactly sound like the type of player we want as I feel we need a more clinical striker but prehaps BM can work on that. Also wont be on a free supposedly.
Still we can see first hand on saturday hopefully.

Also taken from 606
"I think a man manager like Harry Redknapp would make him into a near world beater. CMS suffers confidence issues, hence why he visits a psychologist."

We've seen BM install confidence into Pearce and Kebe.. So surely he would be able to get this lad playing as well?

Last quote was from a peterborough fan and the part about BM a Reading fan.

If we keep Kissmahwilly and Griffers at least, and get a decent striker, then I think have every right to feel optimisitic about next season. It would be even better if we signed Bertrand, but I'm not convinced we have the pennies to achieve all of that.

Based on what he did today I wouldn;t be bothered if we didn;t sign him.

Looked off the pace, nothing special in terms of what he did when he had the ball, ran around a bit but to no effect.

Tough game for him perhaps, but also one in which you would have thought he would have been out to impress.

Wouldn;t get a game ahead of any of our current strikers of his type.

In a poor team that creates ziltch, he really hasn't a chance to shine. I'm sure if we are interested, there's a good reason for it, and BMD's judgement has been spot on so far. If he likes him, I love him!

Difficult to judge anyone in that p'boro team, they are god awful. He looked frustrated and did chase the ball a bit, but that said at no time did his first touch or movement really threaten. As said though playing with confidence in a good side and he could be completely different.

Wayne Rooney would have struggled to look good in that team.

Johnson's tactics were appalling, gave CMS nothing to work from. He showed good pace though, looks like a willing worker, nothing else we can really draw from his performance today.
