Sun Tzu Bizarre response...

It was the idea of 'cherry picking' that made me laugh.

I can;t make every game, I work odd shifts and have other commtments as well. But i go to the games i can get to. I don;t sit back and pick off 3 or 4 that seem especially attractive.

i think it's fair enough to suggest that someone who openly admits they will just pick the big games may not have quite the interest level of the regulars.

Unless we're going to get all PC and decide we're all utterly equal whether we bother to go to games or not....

Well well done to you! It's the implication of oneupmanship that riles me.

I couldn't care less how many games other supporters make it to or when their first game was. Or if someone chooses to wash their car of a Saturday afternoon instead of going to the match. And I don't see anyone else would.

Ok, so you misunderstood the point and have calmed down.

Credit to the club, they've actually reduced prices.

From the OS:

Renewal Prices
East, North and Lower West stands
Adult £375
65 & over £250
17-21 £250
16 and under £99

Upper West stand
Adult £425
65 and Over £280
17-21 £280
16 and under £99

Saving of the following per ticket:

Adult Season Tickets have been reduced by £50
• 16 & under Season Tickets reduced to just £99
• 65 & over and 17-21 Season Tickets have both been reduced by £20

Its actually quite significant for us.

It would be good if they could take a bit off match day tickets and make sure there are plenty of special deals, just so we can still have a moan !!

Fair play to RFC - with two U16s I officially approve of these prices!

These prices are indeed good news.

I just hope that they have been implemented in an attempt to get more money into the club up front and won't subsequently be used by some at the club (and on here) to justify more cloth cutting next season.

We have to speculate (sensibly) in order to accumulate and need to keep this current squad together maybe (as Gilkes suggested this pm)even strengthening it a little.

Are they actually under 16?

I know someone that is 16 but is being charged 17-21 prices even though it clearly says 16 AND under on the OS not just under 16s :?:

Out of interest, in reducing U16 tickets to just £99, how much have they reduced them from last season? Interesting that those tickets are the only ones where the amount of decrease has not been stated.

Don't worry, they have upped match day ticket prices by 50p 'to reflect the increase in VAT at the start of this year.'

Season ticket prices

The reductions for next season are welcome but bear in mind it means very little cash will be available for new players. JM will be able to justify this by saying the team under BM would obviously have gone up if the Rodgers era had never happened. We will settle into a decade in the Championship .

Believe they were £150 last season. Biggest reduction looks to be U16s in the Upper West.

Rubbish, if more people buy STs than this season surely there will be more money available. Plus I very much doubt that the number of STs sold directly effects the amount of dosh that Mad Stad will make available for transfers!

It is unlikley to mean more money, all it will do is bring the money we would have got anyway in earlier.

Season ticket prices £50 cheaper, bit more for kids I think I heard

However, No mention of renewal discounts... Might not work out as a reduction at all for existing ST holders if no renewal discount in place. In effect same price for ST holders and cheaper for newbies.... just speculation at this stage.
