royalexile I'm sure most of you will know the Handbags never went to Cardiff. It broke his run of 290+ sequential games.

Hence his comment.

Did not know this.

URZZZZZZZZ I'm assuming that sometime in the near future the polls will open for the most important vote this year, so I thought we could use this thread as a basis for discussion!

If it goes along the same lines as last season then the questions will be as follows...

Player of the season

Most improved player

Best performance

Worst performance

Predictions for next season

I'll kick us off.

POS

The Sig

Most Improved

The Kebe

Best Performance

Liverpool away

Worst performance

QPR away

Prediction for next season

Top 6 8)

cant dsiagree, although petrborough as best performance cant be far off, then again i though liverpool would trounce us 6-0, most improved is kebe though howard isnt far off he has been superb last 5-6 games....was pants ealier in the season

One Beer is never enough.
Still Hate Futcher! I think some of the predictions for next season are a bit negative (I've already hit that pre-season wildly optimistic stage even though this one's not yet finished).

A few good defensive signings (ideally our current loanees) and I think we'll win this league next season. The sides coming down don't look half as strong as those that came down last season and I don't think we should fear anyone already in the division. The key is keeping the current squad together.

But what about those coming up? With those likely to come down, in diferent kinds of financial problems, I think we should be more worried about : Norwich, in very good form - Which could carry over into next season, a good goalscorer, and a solid financial base. Leeds, who will no doubt spend some more money they dont have - although with Beckford likely to move, they do appear to be left with a team springled with a few promising players, but mostly ageing journeymen. And then the next 4, anyone of whom will probably be stronger than anything Pompey are left with after a cull whihc will certainly take place in the summer.

Just a thought ...

I think Norwich will be a good bet for the play-offs though can't see them bettering that. Leeds will no doubt as, as you say, spend money they don't have but that's assuming they go up. At the moment it seems like the promotion nobody (except Norwich) wants.

POS - The Sig

Most improved - Kebe

Best - Liverpool (A)

Worst - QPR (A) - so I have been reliably informed

Prediction - I think that a top six finish will be a struggle unless we seriously address the back four issue with Griff, Kish and Plastic. With them, a top-six finish.

The major difference between the two: at Plymouth we tried but were just shit. At QPR we were not just shit, but looked as though we didn't give a shit. No, scrap that. We looked as though we didn't give two shits.
