This is fair.

I'm not sure he'd work in another system. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that the squad/starting XI should be built around him (as I thought it may have been around Marek earlier in the season).

To be honest I'd seen a reasonable amount Sigurdsson over the last 2 or 3 years and I didn't think he'd have the strength to hack it in the Champsionship.

I didn't see him playing in the positions that first Rodgers and now McDermott have used him though and to be fair to him he's taken his chance with both hands!

Think that is very harsh. He can pick a pass, delivers a mean dead ball, his balance is superb. He'll be a very good player and I'd hope that another year at Reading will strengthen him up a bit. I'd wager he will be sold however, in the interest of baLOLancing the books of course.

Let's not forget that he's 20. He was questioned as to his physicality to make it in the c'ship and then scored 20 goals and made player of the season. I think we should give him one more season to see if he's any good.

Sorry I cannot see Gylf going in the summer, the premiership clubs that would interest him [ he would have the final say] will watch him till at least Christmas to make sure that he can continue his form. The lower premiership teams may want him, but some of our players will now start looking at Hunt, Shorey, Kits , Sonko and realise they could be back down in one season, or realise they wil be just bit players at a higher club.

JM will see a good return on his massive investment on the academy by keeping Gylf for at least another season. This team know they have the potential to be in a championship winning team and plenty of time to move on , so lets keep the faith.

p.s Was Gylf our youngest ever winner of player of the year ,if so by how much

having seen a lot of Andersen's matches this year for Bristol Rovers and some of McCarthy's for Yeovil I would have to say Hamer is in 3rd place - Andersen rightly almost swept the board in the player of the year awards at The Gas and that is because without him they would have let in 100 goals!!

plus hes clearly stated that another 2 seasons with us would be his preferred situation, (before moving to man u and winning the champions league alongside doyle.)

at this point its bottom half clubs where youll come straight back down, and not really increase the quality of players you play with that much.
or top half clubs where youll warm the bench all season.
hes still learning his trade, and wants to achieve something special with the players hes grown up with before progressing to superstar
