Holloway has done a miraculous job at Blackpool to restore his own reputation of a very good manager, especially when on a budget. He has bought and loaned unbelievably well and got the best out of certain players already there.

Incredible achievement already, I bet the bigwigs at best league in the world HQ are shitting themselves at the thought of Blackpool v Fulham in front of 7000 people

19/09/09 Nottingham Forest 0-1 Blackpool
17/04/10 Blackpool 3-1 Nottingham Forest
08/05/10 Blackpool 2-1 Nottingham Forest
11/05/10 Nottingham Forest 3-4 Blackpool

I think it's fair to say that Blackpool have owned Forest this season.

Hmm, not so good against Cardiff and Leicester. They drew both times to Cardiff and lost twice to Leicester.

In the way that I put my money where my mouth is, unlike most of the fairweather pundits on this board. I thought Cardiff were better than the three other play-offs contenders and backed them accordingly. Fair play to Blackpool, but I think Cardiff are worthy favourites.

Well done Blackpool, anything that wipes the smug look off Billy Davies face gets a thumbs up from me.

Well done Billy, not bad for a net spend of +£4,050,000. Better luck next year.

I'm a Jonah to my Forest supporting friend. I was at the City ground for their last 2 playoff games and down the pub with him for this one.

Very naive to think Blackpool wont fill their ground every week in the Premiership.

Brilliant to see the little club slay the big club. Hope they win the final.

They will, Blackpool are Certs.....

Blackpool > Leicester > Cardiff

in order I'd like, Cardiff shouldn't of had a tax deadline extended twice!

T.R.O.L.I. Indeed he has, Kes, however he needs to learn some magnanimity in defeat and lose the small man, chip on the shoulder syndrome.

Seemed fairly magnanimous last night:

Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies:
"In big games you have to be confident enough to get on the ball and show composure and bravery and an arrogance second to none, but we didn't do that tonight.

"Credit to Blackpool, they handled it better than we did. We had too many players freeze on the night.

"These young players froze on the night. Young players that have been outstanding all season and who did great to finish third - it was just too much tonight.

"But don't take anything away from Blackpool, they deserved it and I wish them all the best in the final. I hope they win it."
