So in summary:

Positives:
Signed quickly, Pacey, Young, Attacking and Experienced in general & at this level.

Negatives:
Weaker defensively and played for Scunthorpe.

Playing for a smaller club was a real weakness for Kitson, Doyle, Hunt, Sonko and Ingimarsson wasn't it?

I didn't say they were all valid. And Scunthorpe did conceed 90 goals this season.

Having come from Scunny i doubt the wages will be too high so a good bit of business hopefully.

Scunny looking like a bottom three pick for me already having lost Hayes as well, can't see Hooper staying either.

Playing for Scunthorpe is in no way a negative. That's the sort of billy big bollocks comment that I wouldn't expect to see from a 'little old Reading' supporter.

Son of Len Judgement reserved as on all new signings, but he does sound like a perfect fit (based on playing 200 games and only 24) and, as has been written, In Brian We Trust.

The thing that caught my eye was that Williams called Reading a "big club." I'm not used to that. And it seems to me that the free transfers, which make up the early part of the close season, most often go to "big" clubs. So the groundwork that Coppell laid out for RFC and that McDermott has built on (not sure what effect Rogers had) has made us into a target for the players. They are wanting to come here now.

Take that Scott Brown.

I see he turned away interest from Sheffield United as well. Nice to know that at least one other club was looking at him, considering he made it clear he wasn't going to stay at scunthorpe quite a while ago if we were the only ones interested you'd have to start wondering why!

Is he a long throw expert ?

Those gloves don;t look like they are 'warm' gloves, more like ones with grip. Perhaps they are tactical rather than effete ?

Either way he should be told to leave them in Scunthorpe, as gloves are a curse on our game and FIFA need to sort the problem out.

Not to worry, my sources tell me David Kitson is coming back to the club to act as his chauffeur.

Great, so we won't be seeing much of him, as I'm sure Kits'll get himself another ban after a cheeky kebab in Shinfield.

Yet we were leaking goals left, right and centre before BM took over, and the same players that were so inconsistant and at times pretty awful, turned it around. Very harsh indeed to mock where he's come from based on a teams poor defending.

Interesting that he seems to have turned down a direct approach from Sheff Utd. Who would have offered a better location for him and have one of the highest wage bills in the Championship.

The McD/Hammond combo seems to be the clubs strongest assests.

Once again....
