HRK must of done okay to get into the First team for saturday, and JT only played a half so not enough time for impact.

Anyone have any idea where I can get odds on Gylfi being a goalscorer at any time?

Iceland win 4-0. Heidar Helgusson with two goals, unknown Icelander with one and don't know who got the other.

Thoroughly thorough facts.

Fact.

Think Gylfi scored the fourth* and that random other was a Gunnarsson but not sure which one.

*According to one random website (Sigporsson according to another).

Gylfi played for 60 minutes but did not score. Came close once in the first half and set up the second with a pinpoint freekick straight onto the head of Heidar Helguson. He had a very solid debut.

Gylfi praised for international debut

by IcelandicStokie » 31 May 2010 17:24

Gylfi Sigurdsson has been praised following his international debut for Iceland in a 4-0 win against Andorra on saturday. The manager says he has a great future ahead of him in the Iceland side and the papers agree. It is said he had a solid game and more will come from him for sure.

He nearly scored against Andorra (at 0:37 in the below clip) and gave assist for Heidars Helgusons second goal (1:20):

Btw Reading should get Heidar Helguson on loan. He says he wont be returning to Watford and the manager at QPR says he is not in his plans. He scored 12 league goals in 34 appearence for QPR and Watford last season.

On the matter of Helguson, SSC rated him very highly and enquired about his availability.

On the matter of The Sig's debut, no surprise there either. A young man with a bright future ahead of him.

Good to hear about the Sig.

I've always quite liked Helguson... his career kinda flat lined when we failed to get him and ended up with Lita instead.

That free kick he took was pretty fantastic. Right into the danger zone and at real pace.

That's also him involved in the run-up to the pen, isn't it? Good quick pass, and then continues his run into the box: would have been a shoe-in had he got the return!
