*times*
BBC notes that Dawson has never been capped.
Bent, Johnson, Walcott, Baines, King OUT
Probably Huddlestone and Parker now then

Urinal MintHoop BlahUrinal Mint I'm just trying to digest Heskey going to the World Cup.
Perhaps you should take a look at the role he's played for England over all these years and how important he's been in a lot of our successes since he got in the squad then....
Bent isn't capable of doing any better, nor is anyone else who's available, so why the need to belittle him?
As mentioned, he's scored something like 3 goals this season and struggled to get into the Villa team. He's never been a goalscorer. It just highlights how poor our striker options are when you see him going to a World Cup. Sure he can hold the ball up, but that's not enough for me. Just my opinion of course.

LoyalRoyalFan Baines should have gone instead of Warnock. Warnock was terrible against us.

Stats show Warnock is by far the better defender though. Baines scored one to Warnock's 0, and Baines had something like 7 assists to Warnock's 1. But the best tackler by a mile is Warnock.
If what I just saw is right, Emile Heskey scored 3 goals this season and only had 8 shots on target!
Bent scored 24 and had 25 on target.

Have you not considered that forming an opinion on the basis of one 90 min cup tie is a little flawed?

LoyalRoyalFan I've also watched Baines in the UEFA Cup (last season) and he looked natural at that level. Good on set-pieces. He was obviously first choice out of the two, but that mistake against Mexico has cost him his place. So how can you judge on one error?
