Another one bites the dust

by purleyroyal » 05 Jun 2010 11:49

After the news of Rafa getting the chop - which in part was due to our performance back in January, I was wondering how many more managers we had a hand in getting moved on this season. I'm sure there were three or four that left their clubs within a match or two of our beating them - often on their home soil. Or am I just making this up, and the fact that with a large number of clubs changing managers you can prove anything with statistics?

Perhaps Preston (Alan Irvine), Palace (Neil Warnock), Peterborough (Darren Ferguson)?

With Peterboro' We beat Gary Johnson's Peterboro' after Ferguson had already left. Not after we beat them.

When we beat Barnsley 3-1 away I think it was? Was our first win of the season and I think their manager got sacked that afternoon?

Yes Simon Davey was sacked after that game. Gary Johnson and Chris Colemans you could add to the list.

Benitez: not our fault
Irvine: not our fault

Fergie Jnr: How can them beating us with an emphatic second half performance have anything to do with him getting pumped a couple of months later?

Surely Rodgers is the obvious one that the TEAM helped dispose of.
