The Rouge Ok, I will be honest about my probable money losing bets!
Spread betting:
Wnr 100pts, r/u 75pts, beaten SF 50pts, beaten qf 25pts, beaten 2nd round 10pts, did not qualify 0pts.
Buy Mexico 8-10
Buy Serbia 12-14
Buy Paraguay 14-16
Buy Spain 43-46
Sell Ivory Coast 14-16
Sell South Africa 6-8
Sell France 24-27
I am very scared. It is not an over-exaggeration to say IF South Africa beat Mexico, it will be the financially worst result of my betting career to date. You could even murk me if the stakes weren't so high!

The Rouge Ok, so I have bought Spain at 46. Lets just say I had done it at 5 pounds per point (I wish)....... if they end up as runners up they will get 75 points. So (assuming I have done no trading on that bet during the tournament) I would win my stake per point x 29 (75-46). So 5 x 29 = £145. Likewise if they fail to qualify from group I would lose 5 x 46 = £230.
Geddit?

The Rouge No, dangerously I place through a trader friend - they know they are good for it so you don't need to put up maximum downside in advance...
I feel uncomfortable about the bets to be honest. Could be in big trouble!

I would say that the opening game of the world cup in an unstable country could well result in a S.Africa win tomorrow.
I for one am puting a tenner down on a S.Africa/France double to start the world cup of with.
Also going on Ladbrokes later to open an account (£5.00 in to get 4 x £5.00 free bets apparently)
