England 4 - Algeria 0

Rooney gets a hat trick and demoralized Algeria lays down like a dog against USA in the final of group play.

Looks a good team to me though I thinks Capello should have stuck with Green in goal. Lennon down the right hand side will scare the Algerian left back no end. Don't expect to see Barry forward very often as he'll have to cover both Lampard and Gerrard.

Surprise first goalscorer you watch!

Algeria are looking more comfortable on the ball than us, less hoofing. Can never understand why we always turn up to tournaments and play the horrible football we do, beckanbaur is right. We are just kick and rush with no momentum or flow and its not nice to watch.

England are shocking at the moment. James looks like a car crash about to happen and Carragher living up to his role as an ex-international footballer. Dire.

Only positive so far is rooney looks a bit sharper and gerrard seems to be confident, nothing much else, woeful stuff.

Why can't we just pass the ball into space, run and then pass it again? It seems like we can't string more than 3 passes together...

I wish the Algerians would change their strip- I can't actually see them on the pitch

Give it 5-10 minutes after half time and if the same take Heskey off and bring Crouch on although the two Algerian centre halves look a little flat footed to me so I'll be tempted to bring Defoe on as well to run onto the Lampard, Gerrard and Barry through balls as both Rooney and Heskey are dropping too deep for my liking,

I am begining to wish I had backed Alolgeria...this lot would look out of place in Hoops let alone an England shirt.

Never thought I'd say this but I agree with finerain. On this form we deserve to get knocked out.
