Easy group

St7s and England'll be just fine

On to the knockout stage then --what are the likely matchups there?

PISS OFF ROONEY - You overpaid underperforming waster and take the rest of that shyte team with you.

Everything that is wrong about English football. Completely taking the piss out of the supporters who have paid handsomely to be at that game, unlike the sodding players.

We need English professional football to go bust so that we can get some degree of normality and common sense back into our game.

If he can't understand why fans (who have paid a fortune to watch these millionaire primadonnas play) boo when they watch that gutless tripe....then he really is thick

Oh and Gerrards's derogatory "this was Algeria's cup final".........that is what is wrong with our mentality

oxf*rd THIS 4-4-2. For once I agreed with pretty much everything the ITV guys said.

Why would you want to play without a striker? we've seen tonight how rubbish it is. 2 deep forwards is just gash

Bringing on Defoe was a waste of time for all the service the poor guy had. May as well have brought on William Defoe for all it was worth. Still Jermain did more in 5 minutes than Rooney & Lampard managed in the entire game. Makes the decision not to brign Adam Johnson, in the form of his life, seem even more ridiculous

Truly abysmal. Why are Lampard and Gerrard referred to as world class when they never do it on the world stage?

Good post, agree completely.

He's being pulled up for that on the Rangers forum for that also. He has always had that attitude.

He has proved that beyond all doubt. Trouble is, we the supporters have proved ourselves even more stupid by backing a professional game that sees thick *rseholes like Rooney paid more in a year than many far more honest workers earn in a lifetime!

LOL @ Rooney having a go at the "loyal England supporters" for booing.

That was even more spineless than France's performance. Dreadful on the pitch (they all looked absolutely knackered) and awful tactics from Capello. LOL at the FA finding yet another multi million pound manager with no credible plan B. SWP? Rooney on the left? 4-4-2? Gerrard and Lampard in a four man midfield?

Feel so sorry for Joe Cole and Adam Johnson for that matter. Pitiful.

Ark Royal Just seen a shot of Lampard. I was completely unaware that he was on the pitch.

...and now we go Route 1 with Ladders on.

Can Lampard just oxf*rd off and retire from international football. He is top class for Chelsea but utter shit for England. When was his last top performance in an England shirt?

That said, I can't just single Lampard out as poor because the whole team was dreadful. I just can't believe how bad Rooney was. :| I tried to defend the team against critics after the US game but there were no positives tonight. I can understand Rooney's frustration at the booing but people have paid a large amount of money to go to this World Cup and are justified in their response because it was THAT bad.

The English game is played at a high tempo and we need to get the ball forward or wide. Yet there is no width on left and for that matter where is Joe Cole? When the ball was in midfield there was no movement upfront and no runners from deep so time and time again the ball went backwards.

If performances don't improve we need to get rid of a large amount of dead wood in this England team and start building a new side for the Euro qualifiers. This is the oldest England team since 1954 and it shows. These players have had a number of tournaments to prove themselves yet despite all the promise there is little substance. We were as bad as France tonight and I think that about sums it up. Had we been playing against a team of the standard of Mexico we too would have lost, and had no arguments about it.
