I always thought this was likely to happen after he brought his kids out for the lap of honour. Good news all round.

Another centre half and possibly a striker, and we'll be sorted. Although the latter may be solevd if Noel Hunt can stay fit, and that's a big IF.

At last, a player that the fans wanted and isn't being universally slated before playing his first (permanent) game for us!

Would be good to be able to give 20 game interviews to all new players to win the fans around (and would have avoided Cummings - though 20 minutes could have told us that one!)

Based on last season, a fantastic signing with superb experience. Will make a great captain if needed I'm sure.

Well done Reading.

So glad this has happened! It makes me more confident for the coming season now. :D

Hope his family settle in down here and are made welcome. That seemed to be the major sticking point rather than money.

How long before he gets the Captain's armband? Would be an ideal candidate for it.

He would be but I think he is still behind Ingimarsson and Mills for it.........

Great signing, and a perfect foil for Jimmy - its no coincedence that Jimmys form vastly improved with Griffin sat in behind him.

Really happy - and yep - has my full backing for Captain duties this season.

This is brill although I am a little concerned that on the OS he is quoted as saying it's nicer to be boo'd than cheered!!
