Yes I'll be there - but combining it with a family holiday and a bit of railway tourism too.

Next season can we have a tour closer to home like Scotland, Northern Ireland or random north Yorkshire non league sides?

What a waste of your life. Friendlies to Farnborough are too far to watch players make zero effort, let alone a 3rd world country

+1

Having been to Slovenia I can tell you that it is most definitely not third world.

Also out of interest guess where Sir Steve is taking Bristol City on tour?

Yes you guessed it... Sweden! Bit annoying though that after all the years of crap opposition that we played that they're playing IFK Gothenburg and Helsingborgs IF. http://www.bcfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0 ... 04,00.html

I've been trawling t'internet to try to find the precise location of the first match, against Red Star Belgrade "B".
I think I've narrowed it down to here:
46.407897,15.788416
(Cut and paste those co-ordinates into Google Maps and it should take you there).
Appears to be about 7km from Ptuj, and less than 1km from the local railway station, Kidricevo (but not much stops there).

This is the website of the team whose home ground it is:

Update - venue change.

As per the OS, the match against Red Star Belgrade B is no longer being played in a remote field somewhere near an aluminium smelter, but is now taking place in a stadium in the centre of Ptuj, just here:

46.416803,15.87563

It is about 5 minutes walk from the railway station - result!
