Big Foot
brendywendy clearly not- he liked the ciss, and played him alot, and to be fair cisse rewarded him with some very good performances

Only Bristol City away stands out for me (and even then it was because of the goal he scored), what other performances can you think of m8?

ok i was pushing it with very good (apart from brizzle)

i meant adequate

edit: there was the chelsea home game where he basically made a mug of sidwell at CM
another game or two in defence where the "cisse" chant reverberated around the ground due to his rock solidness Man u at home for one,
but still 'greed

Franchise FC Has Sir STeve not learned his lesson from the first time ?

He never learns his lessons...

apart from the lessons that taught him to build a team on next to nothing, that gets promoted, and stays up the next season

Scored at Wolves too.

And played well as fill-in CB at home to Wolves. He also had a stormer at Brum (including scoring) then cocked up for their goal by getting caught in possession, thus nearly undoing all his good work. He's a good player, but probably too susceptible to that kind of thing.

Not just the goal - he was absolutely brilliant that day and I think that's where the chant started, long before he scored.

His goal was shortly after the restart so from memory it started then. Big beer session before and after that game so very hazy!!

The initial enquiry was made a few weeks ago. It was just down to Mcdermott in the end whether he wanted to keep Cisse as back up for centre back or not.

In the end to get a fee for him and move on premiership wages is the main factor

Probably a good move for everyone. Any idea on the fee?

Dirk Gently He was really good at centre-back when he's played there. I'm convinced he could do a job - but won't.

£500k is more than I would have expected but it is probably just the EP guessing. Also I thought we only paid £650k for him?

If true, then this is good news for all concerned.

Personally I'd give him away so if we actually get a fee for him I'd be very impressed.

Maybe it's just Coppell doing us a favour out of guilt...

Cisse's alright. But as a midfielder the game passes him by too easily and his passing isn't good enough. As a defender his heading isn't good enough.

I think he might actually perform quite well as a full back though... Not that I expect to see that happening. Good enough to command a fee, but we needed to shift him enough to let him go for free, so good business again by Hammond & Co.

Good luck to Khalifa.
