As someone who doesnt have a problem with new kits and i usually buy them, this new home shirt is crap, it looks cheap, nasty and unfinished.
I cant imagine the group of people who designed and approved it. Who in their right minds would have sat there and thought " yes, thats the one" !!!!
Prepare for some serious piss taking by oppo fans this season.
Away kit is nice looking but agreed it would be better if the stripe was blue.
I went to the mega store to have a look because photos couldnt do it justice but it was worse in the flesh, and as somebody else said earlier, the shorts look a different colour to the shirt on the home kit !

This could become a must-have promotion winning shirt!

But I think I'll wait til 2nd half of season & get it for a tenner! (as usual 8) )

with u on that one. I have bought the away one as i can't see myself wearing the home one unless it turns out into a promotion winning shirt.

Tbf, everyone but the one Reading fan loves the kit for some reason:

Maybe they made it for them and not for us?

Ark Royal As somebody else alluded to earlier, I thought it was just bad resolution on my monitor when I first saw it. More repulsive than the last one and that took some doing.

The. Worst. Kit. Ever.

What about the sky blue tv interference one from the 80's ?

Surely that was worse ?..............................................just

I don't mind the home kit - even the slightly uneven stripes. But, I think it might be one of those things that looks good at the time but in a few years i'll wonder how the designers could ever have thought it looked any good. Much like the the multi-coloured jigsaw goalkeeper kit from 95/96 ish which I bought, so presumably thought that was alright then as well.

I think its a shame that after finally getting back to full hoops last season, the one saviour of that shirt in my eyes, we have reverted to a back panel.

Could have been such a good design. But as I've said elsewhere it looks like they got some office junior somewhere to mock up something on Paint for a laugh and then accidently made it instead of the real one.

I'm not keen on either kit. I have some issues with the home kit...

1. Why have we reverted back to a plain back? Whats wrong with hoops all the way round?
2. Looks like someone has gone crazy with some tip-ex through the blue while desiging the shirt!
3. Plain colour arms, why?
4. Blue shorts? Wrong again should be white!
5. Blue socks? Wrong should be white!

Agree with Ian Royal here the whole kit looks like it has been designed by someone while on work experience at Puma.

Away kit...

I have never liked black away kits and the red bit on the shoulders and red socks makes it look like some old Swindon away kit.

-1,000,000 for both effort and design from Puma.

Really don't mind either the home or away kit. However, the keeper's kit is almost as bad as the infamous David Seaman opal fruit number.... so bad that it is in fact good.

I like the away kit, but then I was a big fan of the last black away kit. The goalie kit is truely horrific. The home just looks sloppy.

The kit revealed today is a vast improvement of the dreadful cr*p we've had in the last two seasons. Yes it could be better, the hoops could be properly coloured in for example, but overall it is a step in the right direction.

Finally if you don't like it, don't buy it. If the take up is poor then the club will perhaps take note and consider involving our views when they start considering next years designs (after all it can't be that hard to get member card holders to log into the website and indicate which design options they'd prefer). Perhaps STAR could push the club on that as well.

I do back up my dislike by not buying them. Did not buy the last one and will certainly not buy this abomination; and I agree that the club should involve the fans at some level when looking at new designs.

I think it was designed by some stoner whose blue Sharpie ran out.

Partick's looks a bit "Tour de France" for my liking.

everyone seams to want a retro classic or a new design that shouts quality but again a sad effort that will not be a premiership shirt next year. come on reading drop puma they aren't even championship class.

CMRoyal This wouldn't be an issue if we all just grew up and went back to wearing cloth caps and suits to the match.

Nothing wrong with my cloth cap, although I do look a bit like Barry Fry in it and it doest tend to itch in hot weather. I'd still wear my knitted hooped bobble cap but this was nicked by a Barnsley supporter.

I haven't yet found a suit with blue and white hoops.
