The Cap Maguire said:

And let's face it, the football's just a rude interruption to a day's drinking.

Mind you, when we first got ST's many moons ago, me bruv said, "We've got to sit where we can see the whites of the eyes of the opposition".

And for that reason we park up in Y25. You get to know the faces. 8)

Until some of those faces get banned from down the front of Y25, not that such a thing would ever happen to me

East is the best

If you don't have a season ticket, , make the most of it by going somewhere different every time. Row RR for the tactics and spectacle. Row A for the atmosphere etc. There's no bad seat at the MadStad , though if you're in the North it might be best to be nearer the top . However a seat with a view through the net will have it's dramatic moments , but when the balls the other end it seems a long way away.

Y22/23 - you can see the whole game pretty well and actually take in what's going on.

Dan - B15 Royal North Stand, B15, around half way up the stand. This way you get a great view of the pitch as the seats are above the goal so the view is not restricted. Also your seats will be under cover for those winter showers so you won't get soaked!

Agreed. Z-71 in the North was my season ticket in the MadStad, which was the closest equivalent I could find to my previous spot on the Tilehurst at EP.

Sarah Star If you sit near the middle of the lower west, you can hear what they shout from the dugouts apparently, which might be interesting. Never done it myself though.

That's about as loud as it gets over there.

my first seat in the mad house was the row above the drummers. Top row of B18...amazing view of the pitch

Where to sit? How about on your hands, like most RFC supporters.

The seats aren't that uncomfortable.

Maguire NW corner is pretty much the closest to the buses, allowing you the latest departure from the pub before the game and the earliest arrival after it.

And let's face it, the football's just a rude interruption to a day's drinking.

SOLD! :D

I'll probably do what GK suggests and try a few places and then choose. I'll be going alone, so I want to settle for one area, because let's face it, you soon get to know those around you if you do.

So RFC fans can do the "easy" chant while sat on their hands?

Cool!

There is a few hard core on here that likes to wait for the disabled buses and ambush them - I think they are called the Scorpions... I don't know them myself of course or their special handshakes and pre meet pub....

Great Knolly Row RR for the tactics and spectacle. Row A for the atmosphere etc. .

Row A is too low IMHO - I've tried it - Rows B and C give you a tiny bit of elevation which surprisingly makes a much bigger difference than you might think...
