Row Z Royal
Sun Tzu

Not sure that makes him 'very' sold. Certainly not in the Steve Claridge class...

Please, quick, someone catch my kidneys.

Ideal
No Fixed Abode Liverpool are getting Luke Young though.......

A 31-year-old defender, I'm sure the fans can already taste success!
...and only about a year ago they bought Glenn Johnson, who plays in the same position, for £18M...
Doesn't make much sense.

Half decent reliable, if past his best, right back who can also play at left back a bit to provide cover the £18m first choice and current total lack of left back.

He knows he won't play too much (depending on Johnsons fitness of course) in his preferred position but Hodgson knows what he's likely to get from Young so makes some sense.

Liverpools Chis Makin!

Who said they aren't?

He'll be back up to Johnson at right back but also be able to play left back as well if needs be. I'm sure they'll get a recognised left back as well, if the current one (Insui??) does actually leave, if he hasn't already that is.

James must've gone there with an eye on his future managerial career.

The Bristol City fans are a going in to overdrive over this signing but I can't see why. A 40 year old keeper looking for an easy option to finish his career on a 1 year contract wouldn't do it for me.

They've just signed one of the best keepers in the country for the last few years who is still fit as a fiddle and still very capable of playing at the highest level. It's a great signing for them.

Be amazed if City aren't in the top 6 this season.
