Lol at Celtic all you want but this is bad for British football.
They don't consider themselves a British club and neither do anyone who knows about what the majority of their support stand for, so not really.

Big Footsandman Whatever you think of them as a club I think it's a shame for British football that they won't be in the CL. They were the first British winners of the European Cup and they did it with local players something that I can only imagine happening in my lifetime.
Plus, if they performance the the way they did last season - and they're lucky they don't have to go through the qualifying rounds as well - it won't be long before Rangers are also out of the competition.
There have been some great players and managers who have come from Scotland (not just the Old Firm) and it's a shame to see that league decline even from the standards that I have seen since I started watching football in 93.

Not sure if I'm covering old ground hombre, but are you aware of the actions & chants of their fans at the friendly vs Lincoln the other week?

British clubs would allow British troops into their stadium in uniform

sandman They won't be there on merit they'll be there by the grace of UEFA's terrible seeding and a UEFA cup final appearance by their biggest rivals the best part of a decade ago. How does the standard of the SPL deserve a team that qualifies automatically?

Are they based in the British Isles? Would people outside of the British Isles recognise them as Scottish/British? If the answers to those questions is yes then whether you, they or anyone else like it they ARE a British Club and an illustrious one at that.
I had forgotten that Rangers had reached the UEFA cup final and I'm sure the people of Manchester would like to forget it as well.
