For the first two games. Then what? Does it depend on the take up?

The club has to give notice of withdrawal of bus services and the first 2 games fall in that period so they have to continue

RFC website Reading Football Club are pleased to confirm that all Stagecoach bus services will operate as normal
on Saturday for the Scunthorpe match and on 21st August for the Nottingham Forest match.
...
The club propose to continue to subsidise these services for the season

I think the debate might be who provides the service after the first two games of the season, Reading Buses or Stagecoach.

Something that MIGHT be being considered is to change the routes slightly (some sections of the route the bracknell bus used hardly anybody got on).

Something else that MIGHT be being considered is reduce the number of services, for example have the Bracknell service leave 15 minutes earlier and pick up some o fthe Wokingham route

I would suggest that these decisions have not yet been finalised so the are operating "normally" in August

A quick drive past of California Cross Roads would be appreciated. Plenty of parking there too so more people could use it.

When they updated the travel section of the website, it looks like they removed the link to the old PDF with Stagecoach stops and times etc.

Here's the link for anyone that needs it.

more people should take these buses - especially this weekend,
they are cheaper, quicker, and easier than any other form of transport to the ground.

give em a try - if you have headphones on and look at your mobile, u dont even have to look at/hear the other mongers

Five adults will cost £33 return.

No thanks, it will cost a fraction of that to drive (probably about £3 of diesel).

takes an hour less of your time, drops you at the ground, no wait to get out of carpark, no walking involved

how about that?id pay 6.50 just for the above

tbf- i imagine youll just be paying for one person each not all 33 quid.

Standing in the rain not knowing when or even if the bus will turn up, having to go at their times and not being able to go anywhere but straight home after game?

I'm all for public transport but I can see it's not going to be everyones cup of tea.
