I always liked goal music but whatever that noise was today, it's put me off the whole idea.

Scrap the whole idea please and then sack whoever chose it so we can save the money.

Best I've ever heard is the Captain Pugwash theme, can't remember the team but it is non league.

Given the state of yesterday's performance, goal music is not something we'll have to worry too much about though.

buzzbee For someone who has largely been an armchair fan until this season, what has the goal music been until now?

I don't mind goal music - quite liked Tom Hark, quite liked the darts music - but yesterday that was just plain awful!

Celebration music is embarrassing regardless of the song

I actually like hearing away fans celebrate as you hear the whole celebration rather than some tinny patronising music

Not as Cringe worthy as the "lightning can strike twice" thing at the start! Will they play that when Bristol City pitch up?!

I think, and Dirk can back me up on this I think, that it was McDermott himself who chose the new music.

Don't know what was wrong with Planet Funk - Chase the Sun, worked well imo. We didn't seem to do badly in the time it was used either! My initial reaction was that Jump Around didn't work, maybe it will grow on me...

NO MUSIC FOR GOALS

ITS THE ONE FLIPPING CHANCE THE QUIET ARSED EXCUSES OF READING FANS ACTUALLY HAVE TO MAKE A NOISE AND GENERATE A TINY BIT OF ATMOSPHERE AND ITS KILLED BY STUPID MUSIC

PART OF THE REASON SCORING A GOAL WAS SO MUCH FUN WAS THAT WE COULD "ALL GO F*CKING MENTAL". NOW ALL WE DO IS START TO CLAP KNOWING THE MUSIC WILL SHUT US UP AND SCORING IS NO FUN ANYMORE.

YES I'M SHOUTING BECAUSE THIS IS THE ONE PLACE WE ACTUALLY CAN WITHOUT BEING DROWNED OUT BY MUSIC.

:x

Bring back the prem music.

I quite liked the vid at the start... not as good as the prem one though.

I did a bit of a groove when the music started playing, but I sat down again embarrassed as Schards and co just looked at me a bit weird.

I thought it was just the pre-match music he was choosing... that was pretty decent if you were watching the video - a bit dull otherwise.

Bring back either of the old tunes or just bin the whole thing. As much as I liked both the old ones we can definitely live without goal music.

One day, do you think, perhaps, the club will actually ask the fans what they want?

Thought not.

.. and if they did? The evidence on this board is that there is no universal agreement on this (or any other) issue. Asking the fans would simply result in a decision that still upset a large proportion of us. They are running a business and need to take customer/client attitudes in to consideration but the decisions have to be theirs.
