SebastianRoyal Lady 99% yesterday - I snuck in.
What bit of 'see' did you not understand?
That bit. They saw me. They just didn't see my bag. So shut it.

Silver Fox The North Stand stewards on Saturday seemed to just be carrying on from last year, I barely noticed them once again

Sarah Star I offered to let them search my bag on Saturday. The steward looked at it and asked me if I had any knives or sharp items in it. I said I hadn't and he let me go through. He obviously didn't think I looked the type to start throwing my bottle top around or whacking anyone around the head with my steel tea flask... or maybe he didn't care... or maybe they've relaxed the rules a bit. Anyway, no hassle, which was good.

SebastianTerminal BoardomRoyal Lady I know. But it's discrimination. I've moaned about this before. Fair enough if you stop, say, every 20th person and frisk them or whatever, but why would an old woman who happens to carry a handbag pose any more of a threat viz a viz hooliganism than a 20 year old in a baggy jacket or whatever. That's my beef.
They obviously know about you
It winds me up as well. If you search one then you must search all.
They do. They search 100% of people they see with a bag.

Royal1983 They don't search so often on Lower West and you can refuse if it is a male steward only because they are supposed to have women searching womens bags not men. Last season they searched bags on games that you wouldn't expect trouble and didn't bother on the Cardiff or Swansea games which is a bit daft. Wonder if it will be the same again this year..

Magnus Terrifying. I sometimes wonder if there's another Torquay waiting to happen.

Why would there be increased risk in the Lower West when teams with a reputation visit? It's, mostly, the same people with little history of trouble there. Seems to make perfect sense to concentrate resources on the South Stand for these games.

Due to the fact that for some stupid reason Cardiff fans get into lower west as the stewards don't stop them even when they are in colour

Hugo Boss I thought the stewards were, once again, disgraceful yesterday. The way they stood unnoticed made me sick.
