I would expect STAR to be vocal to the club and say the fans would like to be consulted about some of these things. OK you might not get anything positive out of the club but I would still expect this sort of thing to be continually raised until such time that they do consult fans on some things as it is OUR club.

Even if they only considered feedback from members of STAR at least its a step in the right direction (and would be another reason to join STAR in the first place).

I think STAR should refund all their members who don't like the goal music of their membership fees they've been cheated out of

STAR are turning into the sort of cranks who call up the elderly trying to flog them dodgy double glazing and new energy packages, have they no shame??

If, for example, STAR came up with 10 different "goal music" songs and put them on their website or something for people to vote, at least if the one chosen wasn't what "one" personally voted for, they'd have had a say. You can't please everyone all of the time, that's obvious enough - but celebrating goals is what the fans do and to not include them in any discussion/vote or whatever is a bit short sighted. I'd also have an option in any poll for "no music" btw!

Ditch this stupid idea of having music after goals.

Why don't you start a poll here asking for nominations for the ten pieces of "goal music" and see what everyone comes up with.

No music always seems to come out top in these polls though.

Hob nob and star supporters are the minority of Reading fans who attend games.

Majority of Reading fans attending games enjoy music after each goal. Club are trying to freshen it up with a new tune each season. Selected song on Saturday was a bit different because no beat to move too initially. Once everyone gets the hang of it, it will be fine. Sad or not this is what the fans like and the days of just dong your own celebration and noise is at an end!

No beat to move to initially? WTF are you on about. Words fail me. They really do. It's a football game not a oxf*rd concert.

Amen brother.

But I fear Paul has a point. The modern Reading fan seems to positively welcome being treated like a child. And an imbecilic, unquestioning one at that.

Hence, for future games at the Madejski, I'm OUT.

Jerry,

I don't give a shit whether Paul has a point or not. There's something wrong with talking about a "beat" to "move" to. What a oxf*rd.

Para Handy - how do I know that? It's called eyes! Open them
and look around? Don't see what you want to see as I am sure you are better than that. When goal is scored at least two thirds are acting like idiots and jumping up and down in time with
music, fact!

Beat or no beat that's the way it is and will stay.

Paul, no, really, I have never heard the words "beat or no beat" in relation to watching football. Clearly, you're a bit of a cunt. Still, I guess we need your new type of fans.. sigh.

I accidentally went back in before the half time "entertainment" finished, and was quite impressed with the idea of tormenting shy kids by making them caterwaul in front of 15,000 people. I was a bit disappointed at how muted the booing from the back of Y25 was, mind.

Here's an idea, why not turn the music off next season in the West and North Stands, just have it in the East.

Also why dont they play music after the away team scores, something dull and downbeat would do??

NO MUSIC AT ALL

MUSIC SHOULD BE TURNED OFF AT 2.45 TO LET THE FANS CHANT AND COUNTER CHANT EACH OTHER
