In the Kicker matchreport Gylfi is named man of the match with 2, Kicker gives 1 for the perfect performance:

Spieler des Spiels:
Gylfi Thor Sigurdsson

I love Gylfi, hope we never lose him, but if we COULD get 10 Million
then we should do it, clear the 4M hole and use the six mill.

Two classy CBs, one VG striker, one goal-scoring midfielder...

Arsenal paid Southampton £12million for a glorified sprinter a few years back. At least our boy's got talent.

If we sell Gylfi then we have virtually no chance of promotion and the crowds and enthusiasm will dwindle.

Let us all hope that he stays.

Was saying on Saturday against Scunny, you can just tell he has class and ability the way he plays, also watching that freekick from last night, it was different to how I have seen him take any set pieces for us, which shows he also thinks and adapts to what is needed he doesn't just stroll up to the ball and hit it in the same manner regardless. Genuine class act!!

I agree - he has the potential to be a top 4 PL player - the first one RFC have produced in a very long time.

I would LOVE him to stay, but what would you say to 50 Million, 40, 30, 20, 15,12, 10?

There comes a point where losing one player for seriously good money makes sense. Our heads have to rule our hearts.

If we lose another CB, Gylfi won't save us. Gylfi sold for ten million might save us, and six million
IF IT WAS SPENT ON TRANSFERS AND WAGES, might make us a better team all-round

I repeat, Gylfi is fantastic, should only get better and he's probably worth an extra 10-15 points a season
but a good CB and a deadly striker would get us those points too.

Dont sell him for anything less than £15 million. Does anyone seriously believe that the chairman would allow more than half the money go back into the squad ?
My bet is most of the dosh would end up in the bank for a rainy day or to repay some loan somewhere !
If Bmc ended up with £5m to spend he couldnt replace The Sig and solve our defensive issues with that.
I would like to know why we werent back in for Betrand .

At that level it's easy to stand out.

He's done ok with us but he's a raw talent who's nowhere near the hype we are piling on him.

I think a Prem manager would be mad to waste time on someone out of the academy who has had a few good games but other than that is nowhere near proving himself.

Only a stupid manager would consider buying him now.

We wouldnt get anything near 15 million for him if we sold him this transfer window. Anywhere between 5-6.5 million would be more realistic.

Why would a manager be stupid to buy the most talented player in the Championship at his young age? would be a great investment

sensible post Hunters, only seen him in the flesh a bit, but he is better than any young player i ahve ever seen at RFC, Dixon, Webb, Lambert, (wasted) etc. This lad would be worth a £7m Premier punt IMHO.
