Scholes - 9 Premier League titles and 2 Champions' League wins, plus a World Club Championship and inducted into the FA's English Football Hall of Fame.

Lampard - 3 Premier League titles, 0 Champions' League wins, no World Club Championship, 0 goals for England in the World Cup, and inducted into Asda's Most Swiss Rolls Eaten In A Minute Hall of Fame.

Lampard has scored in a Champ League final, has Scholes?

Lampard is a better player than Scholes, offers more to a team - if United had Lampard last season and Chelsea had Scholes then the title would've stayed at OT

Scholes has won the Champs League once, and was suspended for the other game.

I see you simply resorted to stating your original arguement in the second line there.

I'm fairly evenly split on this one but I think I'll go on the "who's a bigger pcunt" decision, which is obviously Lampard, therefore Scholes is the better player

Scholes is a ginger asthmatic so plus 1 from me.

That said, I'm also an insufferable fat cunt.

A CL winners medal>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>scoring in a CL final.

Ask Frank - he'll tell ya.

Anyway, talk of the number of awards or goals scored meaning one player is better than another is

Scholes>Lampard - somebody poll it.

How else would you measure it?

If Scholes is so good, why hasn't he received the individual accolades his team mates have?

Personally I think its pretty pointless to directly compare players because it will always be a matter of opinion.

In this case though I think the fact that for the last 15 years Scholes has been pretty much integral to one of the most consistently successful teams in history, trumps any individual awards Lampard's won. He has always been the quiet one that allowed the fancier players like Giggs, Beckham, Ronaldo, etc to take the plaudits.

They are both world class players and if Lampard played for any other side in the world he'd be universally recognized as such.
