bigmike No New centre back

quote From todays EP

Ivar set to return for Orient friendly today

August 17, 2010

Ivar Ingimarsson will take part in his first game for Reading this afternoon since tearing his hamstring in March .

The club captain is expected to play against Leyton Orient in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Hogwood Park.

However, it is unlikely that the 32-year-old centre-back will be up to speed to make the squad for Saturday’s Championship game against Nottingham Forest at Madejski Stadium (3pm kick-off).

Noel Hunt will also play 45 minutes in today’s friendly as manager Brian McDermott looks to step up the striker’s recovery from an ankle knock.

Midfielders Jake Taylor, Scott Davies and Hal Robson-Kanu could also play some part in the fixture with goalkeeper Ben Hamer anticipated to start in goal

Where in that report does it say we aren't getting a new CB?

Seeing that Hammond wont be doing much, given the closedown of transfers, maybe he could go, and that would free up a fair wedge of money for a person who would prove valuable to the club, at this time !

Phew for a second there I thought you were going to suggest that Hammond gets his boots on and plays for Reading again.. (Having seen him play before I use the term play very loosely )

Pseud O'Nym Just had a text from someone who lives near the Madstad claiming that Khizanishvili was there this afternoon. I don't think it was a windup.

Yep he was, i was stuck on bennet rd behind him at the lights, a white bentley with black wheels, very nice lets hope he signs!!!

Is that the same Bennet Rd, that Reggie Perrin and Lord Lucan were seen walking in recently??

Yeah probley well done  , just passing on what i saw, maybe he just left his boots here last season and just came down to pick them up???

And what made u think it was his Bentley - did his number plate say: ZURABKHIZANISHVILI90923?

Because if it did, it must have been a big number plate, mate.

But Reggie Perrin came back. Where you perhaps thinking of Shergar?

Anyway, the bloke I got the message from stands by it, and he's not the sort to try a windup, so make of it what you will.

Just to assist I also saw Zurab in his Bentley in Reading in the last couple of days.

No idea of his number plate, I'm just going on his face as adequate id.

How can we not have the means and yet Cardiff, who are supposedly in a world of financial trouble, have the means to get Craig Bellamy?
