Cummings

by Meeko » 24 Aug 2010 13:23

Would maybe a game like tonights be a good idea to play Cummings? I believe he captains the reserves at the moment, if he cant even make it into the starting line up for this then there 100% is no chance of a future for him here?

I like most have only seen the few games he played which were not the best to say the least, but is it not maybe time to give him that final chance to prove himself? If not only to at least put him in the shop window?

thoughts?!

I'd like to see him play tonight and save Bryn for the league games.

If McD doesn't feel comfortable playing Cummings against Northampton then he may as well give up.

Having said that, I'd not be surprised to see Taylor at RB tonight.

Be either Cummings or Kelly. Could even be both if Kelly plays at left back.

Kelly has only played 60 minutes for the Ressies after coming back from injury so I'd be surprised if he is risked in the starting XI tonight.

As for Cummings, I'm not sure there is a way back for him at Reading but toniht is tailor made for giving him a run out, even if it's just to remind a few lower league clubs that he's around and probably available for a pittence.

Kelly is recovering frm injury and he's shite. Tbh, we need a another Cb and a decent young RB. I have no faith in kelly or Cummings and they should both consider moving on to further their careers.

On what basis do you make that sweeping statement about Kelly.

I have seen him a few times and always been impressed. He is young (and unfortunately a bit injury prone) but definitely has potential.

In any case he is returning from injury so if Cummings does not start tonight against League 2 opposition it is hard to see that he will ever be trusted to play a first team game again.

Think we should start him, cross fingers, maybe start to bring his confidence back.

He might just have a good game.

Surely the lad had SOMEthing about him before it all went pear-shaped?

Agree, he mst've had something about him.

BR wasn't a totally inept manager.

Ok forget that last point.
