Smoking Kills Dancing Doe Last I heard he'd been told if they werent top 2 after 10 games he was gone, things may have got worse. Les Reed has already been brought in over his head.

Should never have left Pards, never have left.

Pardew and Rodgers have nothing in common, Pardew was always very keen to learn, he just don't like being told what to do...

This thing fits in with the hackneyed "deluded so called big club sacks perfectly good manager because new chairman expects 10-0 victories every week"
So, perhaps more turmoil down there. Good. Hopefully, the new regime will demand £400M to spend on new players, then spend 2/3rds of the season trying to weld these new players into a team, and they will miss out agonisingly on the play offs again.

Pardew sacked!

by TBM » 30 Aug 2010 09:12

Southampton have sacked Pards as their manager despite the 4-0 win over Bristol Rovers.

No idea on the reason yet

Following a review of the current status in and around the First Team, the Club has decided that, to achieve its well known targets, it is essential to make changes to the First Team management and coaching.

These targets for sustained and significant progress embrace both the First Team and the Football Development & Support Centre as integrated, co-operative units.

Consequently, the First Team Manager, Alan Pardew; First Team Coach, Wally Downes; and Goalkeeping Coach, Stuart Murdoch have been relieved of their duties with immediate effect. The Club wishes them well for the future.

While we have commenced our careful evaluation of our candidates and longer term requirements, Dean Wilkins has taken on the caretaker role for the First Team and he will be assisted by Martin Hunter, the Under 21 coach.

In other words, they've already tapped a sexy, big name manager up.
I hope whoever it is wastes millions, and that club goes nowhere.
Stupid, uncalled for, kneejerk.

SDR spot on as usual. He said the Vicar was a waste of space at Reading and he has failed miserably where ever he has gone. Spent too much time praying for success as opposed to delivering success.

Hopefully he doesn't finish up at Basingstoke FC.

Main man'spredictions always spot on so what next for RFC?

Division One!!!!!!!!

I didn't think he'd failed particularly at Southampton either! They won 4-0 on Saturday for a start!

First win just like the Royals Donut had better watch his back!

Still he is the Madman's poodle with no balls so will probably survive until RFC are relegated then he will take the can.

Needs to rock the boat now. Real Facts.

The ceo there is a horrible little man, I stress the word little. Even more big time than Pardew. Been desperate to get rid of him for ages. Sure Pards will get a massive pay off and walk into his next job.

Once new owners were in, Pardew was on borrowed time.

Replacement would of already been lined up, they were obviously expecting to struggle against Bristol Rovers.

Rumour on Saints forum that Pardew asked for permission to speak to Aston Villa and was shown the door as a result.

They seem to believe it!
