2nd in the Bundesliga are Hoffenheim. Played 2 won 2.

Dark times for Reading if Gylfi leaves.

Madejski was good for this club, that period ended 3 or so years ago.

MmmMonsterMunch Are we still going to hear about the £4m black hole now?!! Surely this one transaction has dealt with the whole lot including wages?

6 times over now.

Rumours would suggest it's now a £20m mountain that is surronded by a fleet of Bentley's, a villa and several swimming pools.

Do You See?

Madejski might of saved the club, but it's time to move on. He is taking the club backwards and making the transfer decisions over McDermott.

And some have extremely confused memories!

Smee saved RFC at far greater cost to himself and with far less recognition that Madejski.

Madejski wasn't the only potential buyer at the time Smee had to sell up.

YES THERE WOULD YOU UTTER MORON

Was Madejski there in 1871?

And lol, come on Schards.

125 years of history one team of history makers, comes to mind. If you didn't sing 'There's only one John Madejski' at Leicester you are insane. Our new stadium is also forgotten, that also paved the way to make comfortable Championship / getting into the Premiership possible.

You're one of those posters aren't you? Back the guy to the hilt despite all the evidence to the contrary! Facts are some of the "£4m black hole" was dealt with before Gylfi. All he is interested in is clawing back as much as he bloody can now & is running the club into the ground.

If we end up back in League 1 how is that bloody progress exactly?! Nice new stadium with no oxf*rd in it. Great!!

Stop acting like the guy is sort some of messiah. He is well past his sell by date & needs to p1ss off. There are buyers around as shown by the numerous other clubs that get purchased. He won't sell because he likes being Mr Flash Chairman & wants a ridiculous price.

BEST POST I'VE READ TODAY.

To slag off John is blasphemy, he has done so much for this club, and I won't say a bad word about him, but it's time to move on, for him and for us.

Maybe i've been following the club longer than you, but several others come to mind.

Anyways, the comment was WITHOUT MADEJSKI THERE WOULDN'T BE A CLUB IN THE FIRST PLACE....... which is balls frankly

he celebrated when we got promoted but when he saw the figures involved he realised it wasnt for him..simple,hardly any many invested when we were there, downward spiral and cost cutting ever since..and it will go on till a new owner is found..failing that we are heading back to the lower leagues never to return ..because no-one of substance will want to buy a league 2 side.

'greed. I cannot see how McDermott can have any motivation to work at Reading at all except for the fact that he has been here for a decade. Any manager who wasn't a "local" would no way in hell have to put up with this.

oxf*rd off Madejski, your time is up.

Noooooooooooo! If its not for 5 million, and we dont get to spend 3 of it we are oxf*rd,and im angry. I thought we were trying to do it by just shifting the dead weight, but obviously it wasnt enough, and mcd has decided on the back of our injuries that we need a defender and striker more than gylfi. Which is probably true.we do have to squeeze him into a formation.
The boy was genius though, and im gutted hes gone so soon. I understand why, but if we dont get players in,and if they arent decent, and if we lose a kebe or a mcanuff too ill be as despondant as ive been about rfc for a decade. Very sad day.

Are the club going to refund/replace everyone who paid a fortune for Siggy's name on their shirt?
