The chairman is selling all of his cars, at least one hotel (Copthorne) and despite what people say, he is desperate to sell Station hill.

Seems he needs money and selling players is an easy way to get it.

I guess this is payback time. Our chairman isn't as rich as he used to be.

Then he should sell the club, he will never get as much as he wants for it and the longer he stays and sells our best prospects he will end up losing more money.

Sell up, move on.....

LOL- The majority of these doom threads are one man called Roger replying to his own posts from his multiple accounts.

readingbedding Mugged off?

What does that mean?

It means stitched up - obviously something that deluded happy clappers fail to understand. Where's the promotion party build up thread? My guess is we won't be seeing that anytime soon.

Ok mockney.

I always thought mugged off meant exactly that - being made a fool of.

Quite right. We sold the Premiership squad to rely on youth but now we are selling the best of them so it's rather like the old fourth division days. I wouldn't be surprised if Federici goes.

Clubs will see Reading as easy pickings currently ....and the fact they've just sold their best player will be proof of that...expect a few more poaches before 6pm tomorrow...and ones that will be accepted

I wont take part in any demonstration but I'm fully behind the fans making themselves heard and trying to hit it home how unhappy we are with the running of the club. But all you'll get back is a statement telling us it's all necessary to keep the club afloat etc. You might even hear how confident he is in the youngsters and how promotion is still where we want to be. Blah blah blah.

Madejski out!

Good business if the £5m + figure is correct and reinvested in the squad as we need to sign a striker and a centre half.

Why would it be reinvested? What have the club done lately to give any indication that would even be a remote possibility?

I don't know about you, but I'd happily buy a business that doesn't make money, and in fact requires a huge amount of investment for no real return. Deal of a lifetime if you ask me...

The lower down the leagues the club slips, the less the daft old coot will get when he eventually sells the club. It's like owning a run down house. The longer you go without repairing it, the more it will cost to do so and the lower the amount you get when you do sell if you don't undertake the repairs.

Sell the club now you old fart!

We should wait and see how much if any of the money raised is used for team strengthening.

If we get £5m for Gylfi that makes a total this summer of around £6m with Cisse and Marek going which gives us £2m - as the club have already announced a £4m shortfall.

You can add to that the wages for Marek, Cisse, Bertrand and Zurab. Who we have wisely replace with Williams. Christ, its like when we sold Bremner & Senior and replaced them both with Colin Gordon. We all know what happened in the following few years.
